Gary Schaible = I'm a fan

Anyone notice the non answer from Parker to anything Gary brought up.

Dang. I`m at home an having technical issues. Stupid macbook will not play the SOTA video

Not protecting Parker, if you listened earlier, your earlier raise costing 500 million was added to the new proposal of 400 million. If we are gonna complain, and I am, let's at least speak facts.

And if we are going to speak "facts", what we received last year wasn't a "raise", as Gary just pointed out, we were $9 per hour behind everybody else and we are still now behind Delta!

That just brought us back to where we should have been.

Sorry you feel that way, ograc. My response would be that the IAM was not picketing (regardless if you think it works or not) and secondly, I watched Parker and the State of the Union today, and the very first question was about the contract and it's delay. Presenting that question from the front row was TWU reps sitting together as a union. I did not see one IAM rep there with the TWU, much less any IAM member putting Parker on the spot. Maybe when you guys "join" the team, the internal fighting will cease.
Let me add this ograc. I'm not calling you out or any other IAM member who comments here on this forum. There are a couple or so who I feel want no part of the team and are happy with status quo, but there are others who I totally respect, robbed, rat, just to name a couple. So that comment is directed higher up...
Ever think that the TWU needs to join the team.perhaps in the IAM's thinking it was a bad time to picket. I don't know and neither do you

No Al, never thought that for a second. And I guess the same can be said for them not showing up to question Parker on the pace of negotiations or anything else contract related. After two years, must not be the right time, especially not when AA is announcing another Billion dollar profit. Like I said Al, status quo....

Either way, it wasn't the Association who spoke out. If things like this happen with either the TWU or the IAM taking the lead, the outside world and the Company sees it as a split. Heck, even we see it as a split and on these pages, we're fighting each other.

How can that equal the best deal we can get? I think when we see the JCBA there will be some very upset people on these pages.

Every TA has its supporters and its detractors. That's how Negotiations work. Can you find me any Airline Contract that passed in our industry in the last few years with a 100% yes vote?

Anything that passes above 70% I personally feel is pretty darn good actually. (Those 51% passing aren't)

Wonder how many TWU reps would have been in CLT or PHL if HQ and the earnings announcement was there ?

Can't argue with that, any split by anyone I would think is counterproductive in negotiations perhaps making reps "uncomfortable" around each other and energizing the company reps
