Did the TWU leaders at the negotiation table approve a picket? if not this whole thing is falling apart.I wonder if this signals Tim's rise to power

Our Union doesn't work that way Al. Locals don't need to get "permission" to do things like this. We're not part of a structured Dictatorship if that's what you're asking.

But you are correct on the difference make up of the IAM and the TWU. At the IAM, you won't see local presidents scheduling info picket days. And to answer Alberts question about info being mentioned at the table, speaking for the fleet side, it was not mentioned at all by any member of the TWU.

I agree but im not the recognized authority to call that shot. At some point, hopefully soon, the iam shows some leadership and starts paying attention to the American Airline Labor culture instead of fretting about who told who. Really?

There isnt any convincing reason to give those things up. And our picketing would be our voice that we dont wanna give those things up but to gain.

But if the iam stands down and disses the twu then it will come back to haunt them. Believe me. And giving up health care, etc, would be the exact sorta thing id expect from a leadership that doesnt have the decency to participate against management. Members wont be to blame.

The twu locals dont have to ask anyone to picket but the iam has to ask management. Thats why i call the iam the Ill Ask Management. Maybe another video but it wont be as kind.

Leave me out of it. They wont do anything without Sito. They will respond and id be shocked if they dont authorize picketing...eventually.
