JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

No, not any classification. This is solely about going from Clerk/Agent to Crew Chief/Lead in Fleet. There is no separation like there is in Maintenance, therefore this doesn't affect Fleet.

On your second point. If I'm a Fleet Service Clerk my Company (DOH) and my Occupational (Classification) is the same date. If I take a Crew Chief/Lead both of my seniority dates would still be same.
Ok. Got it. Thx for taking the time to explain the fleet side as it was slightly confusing. If I were a gambling man I would have to put my $$$ on the DOH/classification as the winner since the majority is in fleet in this asso.

Fleet Service Negotiations are a separate entity from Aircraft Maintenance and related Negotiations.

There isn't and you shouldn't have any confusion regarding this issue. And Fleet does not and will not vote on any Maintenance or Related issues or items.

It would come down to the process that limits the most change. The premise for the Neutral is to devise a process that impacts the least amount of Members as possible.

On the seniority piece, the biggest impact will be to the Maintenance side of the operation since they have more moving parts than the Fleet side.

Just another check mark in the column of negativity for the mechanics under this bs asso. A class and craft type of union would not have worked it that way. The longer the mechanics hold onto this asso. the more down hill representation will go for them. Just another to add to the list of reasons to rid yourselves of this asso.

I havent heard of any mx unified enuf to finally ditch anything. I guess nothing has stopped a few operatives from trying to for the last 15 years. Ive always wondered why mechanics never got their own union like apfa and apa.

I agree with you Tim. Part of the reason is to many fleet folks are in this asso., but there are plenty of mechanics that could sign cards to get it done. I think they are just afraid of the change as we were at first, but once they were to experience they would never look back and even ask themselves, "why didn't we do this years ago?" Just like we did. Good luck in your future negotiations Tim, I hope you guys really do get an industry leading new JCBA.

Looks like no JCBA until after September. 😵

Along with the announced July dates, they've added August 15th to the 18th and August 28th to August 31st.

let me guess, july dates in Anchorage, august dates in Vancouver, and end of August in San Diego, on Doug's boat.

The only thing agreed upon is we will be getting offered a new pension.

There will be no jcba in 2017. Might as well get used to that idea fellas. The company is playing us for punks.

DFW area peeps. Mark July 26th on your calendars. Please set aside some time and join 567,591,513, pilots and flight attendants for picketing. Our families deserve our best effort in securing the industry leading contract we have been promised. i will post details as I get them. As always, I.A.W. and be safe out there!

if they can limp thru the summer, chances of us seeing anything before 2018 are slim to zero.

if DP was truly wanting to get M&R and FSA industry leading contracts its very clear he has failed us and contradicted himself this should not surprise anyone those of us at LUS are used to this type crap He got J.G. why is that its not the time to have subcontracts esp when this airline is making billions of dollars in profits Industry leading contracts include highest wages above DL UA and SWA best scope LUS scope or better better and leading industry benefits. etc

At least you guys are getting a couple of meetings per month, we still only get 3 days and as of late only 1 or 2 days. Pretty pathetic. And the co. says they are ready to come to an agreement.

Not a new pension, an underfunded pension.

Hog, this is great unity. Love hearing this at your carrier. As you get more info can you find out if other mechanics from other airlines are welcome to help you guys show support? If they are, please get the word to our AMFA locals presidents and our National Director so they can get the word out, I'm am positive some of our local 11 members would be willing to help if you all want.
