JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

Confused, didn't US and AA just get in bed with each other, so why wouldn't LUS be under that same umbrella, eventually? Or maybe when we sign a JCBA.

Bob stay with me here. "Costs" Bob "Costs"

Again the Company is self insured. Meaning they pay the claim that Medical providers send out to the administrator of AA plans which mirror other market plans.

Yes, because that fight is already fought and won by the company. You will be coming over to our insurance when? Late 2017?
Your scope is a automatic, and sorry I don't see the term "Grandfathering" used in the New American Airlines playbook.
My fight is for the 401k, and any raise in match.
Holidays, vacation, and sick time, are not that much of a priority to me as it is to others.

Agree

cltrat,
No disrespect, but IMO the only way you won't be paying what we do here at AA (or close to it) is by the IAM reps refusing to sign off on a T/A. If the Association could agree on this (and I have my doubts), the Clerks of AA would overwhelmingly pass it if other areas were satisfying to the TWU membership. With that vote and you guys outnumbered, you would unfortunately be stuck with that part of the garbage we now hold.
Again rat, not being confrontational, just my opinion on how things could possibly play out.

Agree. But I'd think they'd be given something of value in exchange, like a boost in pension contribution or a lump sum of some kind.

what makes you think one plan surviving ? ever thought a whole new series of plans might happen?
where you guys get better insurance and we at least even if we pay more than now have good plan options. I don't think they will agree on the IAM side of the table to simply drop to your plans

Doubtful. The Company on the LAA side has invested heavily on getting everyone on the same plans. It is now likely they dig in with one union on making a change than dealing with 4 unions looking to match costs.

Keeping the IAM plan means a potential change for the APFA, APA, TWU and CWA. Likely?

Or they dig their heels and hold out for the last union to be brought to everyone else's level.

We hope they'd keep their plan because maybe we can benefit, but it seems unlikely.

no disrespect taken my friend and you could be right but he certainly indicted bout simply dropping us to you guys insurance wasn't good enough for them so I guess we'll see.
for the record I think you guys should have an option to join pension or not.I asked but couldn't get a commitment yay or nay to that one.

right now for 100% policy which I've already been told were toast I'm paying 87.5 every two weeks for me

Without getting into too many numbers and details, rat, for my wife and I, we have the middle of three plans. Not including vision, dental, I pay $110 per paycheck ($220 monthly) and they offers an $850 deductible, $2000 max out of pocket. You pay 20% until you reach your $2000 and then it's 100%.
By the way, the $850 is not counted toward your $2000 max so in reality it's $2850.

Just to add, I pay $10 per paycheck for vision and dental. You can also A LA CARTE a few other things as well. I also pay $27.86 in union dues per paycheck. (just thought I would throw that in there)

You're right about the health care. The nationwide problem with the costs rising at absurd rates yearly has not been dealt with by the government. I would think the contract will be based on total cost compared to the other large carriers. To get health costs that LUS has will surely put a big dent in other areas of negotiation. Frankly, our health care at LAA is considered very good by other people I know working at other places. The prices they pay were more than alarming. Health care is a problem.

My wife is lucky to be married to me. Looking at hers, I could not believe it...
