Let's not forget how things are now trending. PSA at AA insourced jobs into the Union, CARS. After Munoz stepped in and gave the IAM a corrected contract UAL brought jobs back IN house.

Show me one agreement reached out there since the AA/US Merger where the trend among the Majors has been to outsource work?

Tick Tock.
Did you say my last three words...JUST A THOUGHT!

Tick Tock!

The Major Airlines now have the financial ability to bring jobs back in and regain Quality Control.

Quality is going to be the only product they can really offer to differentiate themselves from each other going forward.
...and you're more lost than I thought if you think the former US CEO and current AA CEO Parker cares about quality...if you haven't noticed W, the AA product only remains in name only, or very close to that.

BSO was outsourced at all LUS stations with their new contract. Not exactly a trend but it sure rang the clocks alarm if you worked there. Parker did bring back a lot of reservation work to the CWA and back to the US for that matter.

The old regime (AA) had Cargo completely outsourced if I recall under the BK contract but gave in to the five "Cornerstone stations" (DFW, MIA, JFK, MIA, LAX) at the last minute when the TWU gave something else instead. I do know the folks that don't work Cargo here in Dallas really couldn't care less about that facility if it mean't a bump in pay or other perks. Pretty much the folks in Dallas who work Cargo always bid there and the folks here on the line will never bid over there. As for the other four stations, I don't know.
The Company did have Cargo on the chopping block at the beginning of negotiations, now I'm not sure it's even being discussed. Time will tell. I will say, IMO that would be a huge concession and I would be totally disappointed in our NC to even entertain that or any other concession with Billions in profits.

That was just an early test to gauge the reactions of the Negotiators when it came to jobs. It's Poker 101 to have a certain type of face. A juvenile could almost see through the move.

I don't expect at all jobs to be sacrificed but of course what they would be looking for would be more productivity if they can capture it. More productive ways to utilize their manpower and cut down on OT I'm sure are part of the talks. Those free OT bypasses I'm sure they hate and in other contracts out there if they bypass you, you have to come in and work another time to get paid.

Hubs could pick up the most work as it's ridiculous to have so many different vendors doing so many different things. MIA for example one flight is touched by three separate vendors, Eulen, Swissport and Skychef. One link in that chain can easily break down when it's so spread out.

I could see taking back both Fueling and Cabin service in house? We'll see what happens?

DISCLAIMER: I have no clue if AA wants Cargo or Catering now, nor does WeAAsles. There W, I don't think the "Sky is falling", just giving some scenarios and facts.

BSO was small potatoes in the overall gain of jobs in CARS. Those CARS people now have the ability to move in over time to better paying full Agent positions as openings come up.

And CARS people answer to the same Supervisors as Agents.

They'll be better workers too cause they'll know they have a chance to move up.

Come on Weez you honestly think they are going to go out and spend millions leasing fuel trucks? you think they are going to pay someone $30 per hour to take garbage off a plane. We've been through this, pay someone 8 hrs to work 2 nope not happening

I have no clue either. Just saying that I "highly doubt" they want to outsource any more work to third party vendors?

I'm sure they'd love some type of secondary in house wage relief group though similar to CARS.

I highly doubt Freight though cause that's BIG Money for the Airline and you want your more senior skilled Professionals over there.

Want to talk about Mail next?

it can't be the pension, because they're going to force everyone into that monstrosity. It can't be ready reserve because, that's more union dues. so its catering and cargo. which one stays or do both get outsourced?

Your funny weez, even a monkey can place a bag from a cart with a high degree of quality, except that using monkeys to do our job is classified as cruelty to animals.

$30 for gum wrappers? No honestly.

Fuel Trucks you buy from the Company that just lost the business at a steep discount. Either after the contract expires or you pay the penalty to break it.

Eulen here in MIA drives our old broken down trucks for Cabin Service. Just slapped a little paint on them. They probably pay AA to lease them too?

Would you be ok if we had a CARs system with fleet?

Never saw a monkey grow a mustache like yours before Bob. How'd you do it? And Bob mustaches went out of style after the great Johnny Wad died just to let you know.

You mean none of them will have an ATTITUDE because they make less than the agents?
