JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

I want to reiterate something I've said before, Parker never states in any town hall, that Fleet or anyone else will have the best contract in the industry. What he states are things like, 3% pay above UA or DL. Also, he states on DOS you will be above other legacy carriers and that when other carriers get contracts and leap frog over you, you can leap frog over them on your next contract. Look what that's done to our Pilots, DL and UA are killing them in pay. He never states anyone will have the best CBA in the industry, just pay until someone leap frog's you. Once we get a deal, you won't have another deal for 6-8 years. Think about that for a second.

Rez that deal is going to be a 5 year deal with probably a 1 year early opener. I don't give a hoot about what Delta (gives) their employees and UAL and SWA only signed their deals less than a year ago so contract wise we're all floating around the same waters.

Nothing personal bro but could your doomsday scenario play out to an 8 year from now WTF nightmare? Sure. But if we're going in that direction depending on the headwinds 4 or 5 years from now, so will the groups over at UAL and SWA too (And Delta)

And if we're looking at tailwinds in 4 years instead of headwinds you just get in there and grab some inflation gains on the wages and lock it in for another 5 years.

Screw nitpicking in the future for another Holliday or maybe a $5.00 OT meal allowance. These negotiations are important but after this I hate guys who want to seemingly habitually negotiate. That just doesn't serve our economic needs too well quite frankly.

Basically you're now in the sweet spot in regards to ramp agents/ fleet at AA. The Pilots, FA's and Agents upstairs aren't any of our concerns if they slammed the gas pedal too hard and ran themselves into trees.

You're going to bring us back a very solid contract IMO and I'm sure I'll be giving you all a round of applause for it. But I just redid my glasses and they're also not getting any thinner.

Weez since you are not a commuter I can't see why you can't live with what we got for a while. I don't think we will be getting much more . we need strong language our current contracts are pretty much bankruptcy contracts. You really should have gotten a paternity test before you agreed sending those monthly payments to Malaysia. The baby doesn't have any of your features

On a side note since I know you love cool rock. I was just made aware of this band a few days ago even though they've been around since 2010. They got a weird image/schtick going on but I've read it's all toungue firmly in cheek. Really digging their music. Very late 70's style vibe.

Al how much language you think they've gotten already done? If I remember correctly I think they said they got improvements on like the first 19 articles or something? They haven't even opened up a conversation yet as far as I know on jobs or Station staffing? I have 100% confidence that Harry, Sito and all the other guys aren't going to sell any of us down the river on that!!!!

And the improvements I've heard about already take us way out of that "We're under BK contracts" mud.

Not trying to be facetious here but on my side we also used to have an OT meal allowance of $3.00. Should we fight another 6 months to try and get that back too?

Commuters and guys on the street I ignored for too long man. I didn't feel we should rush the majority and take crap just to get back people who made some of their own choices.

But now it's time to think about THEM!!!! I'm guessing there's about 1000 of them systemwide?

Rez our Pilots took a "Gotta rush" deal from the secured creditors to approve the merger. So did the dopey FA's.

Obviously that was all a bunch of anal smoke since we (TWU) never had to agree to that deal.

They were hoodwinked.

But anyway yes the FA's do have a one time industry wage adjustment in their contract against that new AFA UAL contract. Right now as a matter of fact they want to Arbitrate the numbers the company came up with (besides their itchie uniforms)

I'm pretty sure you guys too can secure a one time industry wage adjustment at least on UAL when their deal comes to a close and we're still kabitching? No they're not going to include DL IMO or SWA (which they should)

But UAL will work just fine with me.

Do you care at all about guys being away from their families or even worse still on the street?

Weez I don't think I've ever informed you that here mainline does express work maybe 20+ flights a day we stand a good chance of losing that work to your brother Envoy people. I don't know how many people will be let go or downgraded

So sorry to my IAM peeps on this thread. But I'm just not buying in to the Boogeyman's under my bed ready to jump out and startle me crap.

Maybe you guys think your Leaders are going to jump in and push down on the Dynamite box? But for me, nope, nope, nope, nope not buying any of it.

You have no faith in your Leaders (not buying that either) that's on you guys. I know my Leaders personally and I have complete faith in what they're going in there for and what they're going to come out with.

Besides if they do bring back any Doomsday crap we just give them the middle finger and send them back to those cheap Hotels they stay in. (TWU side I'm talking about)
