JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

Rate of pay always out preforms profit sharing! Always has and always will.
Have to agree with that, as pay rate is a sure thing. The profit sharing at the other airlines which is vastly better than ours is a good negotiating tool that has to be used. Haven't seen a better time for the union to get a deserved great deal for the members, and most guys I know are just shaking their heads at this.

Agree on both parts. It truly is amazing that the powerful Association can not get the loose ends tied up on an industry leading contract. We were told that the leverage we would have by combining these two groups would have AA at the table signing away on a new JCBA fairly quickly. The excuse will always be the combining of the two contracts. That should have been agreed upon a long time ago, but if it's not, and obviously it's not, then we are no where near a JCBA. The Association can't even get the company to the table, let alone hammer out a deal. Again, the Association HAS NOT rattled AA at all. As a matter of fact, I think it has done the opposite. It gives AA the easiest path to foot dragging that a company could ever ask for.

Don't worry AANOTOK. I received an email today from the Association. In an effort to put pressure on the company. The association will be out and about taking group pictures to post on social media. I kid you not. This is their strategy. Smdh..........

Right now , Profit Sharing is not a contractual item, unless you're willing to trade.

well, when i do say that profit sharing is contractual...then you can remind me.

a poster brought up this angle, and you can bet that dl will let their employees know in certain terms that profit sharing counts, as soon as they hear any grumbles about wages. i can see this playing out in 2-3 years or so.

i wouldn't trade anything for profit sharing. the company controls the parameters and would never allow us to get anything substantial. never.

you want generous supplemental income? become a level 5 and get a 17% wage bonus check.

I will gladly take this PS check this time, but I from the beginning did not want it, I would much rather have it baked right in my wage. How many town halls have gone by and some snively little know nothing had the nerve to stand up and cry to Parker, "we are suffering so give us PS"
I couldn't care less how much management makes. Render onto Caesar which is Caesar. This will never change. The only change I have seen is locally, in DFW the old boy network has been dissolved, and Fa is doing a superb job. Again everyone is expecting a ILC, it may be for some but not for all, Weez and company disagree, but I don't expect to get anything from the signing of a JCBA, in fact, let this drag for another 2-3 year, We got the money, but it's the integration that will be the killer. No one seems to be talking about that either, I put out a list with different scope in it, it must have been right on because it wasn't well received. And finally to Creamy, in order for the membership to get $35/hour TOS, the company would have to shed half of us, to me, this is unacceptable.

Go get a seat near the stage

I can see your point Bob where you would rather see this dragged out over "fear" of being laid off. I can see your position but I don't think it's rational.

They will get rid of people through attrition and there's a good possibility you won't even get touched there? Plus you have CLT that will be an attractive place for people to bump into more so than DFW.

PHX unfortunately as the most likely candidate in the future to be downsized is very low on seniority.

Currently how many FT clerks do you have under you there?

(And we'll take good care of you here in MIA anyway)

The problem with negotiations is that nobody wants to meet in the middle, thus we have it drag on for a few years. Case in point, with "Temporary Employees" when did anyone hear having situatiion with this. But it's in a stand still.

About 5 cars got stuck where the Cross Island meets the Grand Central sat in park for 15 minutes until they were able to dig out. 18 degrees tonight

Why isn't LGA closed? Are they going to put you in the Hotel when they do close?

Snow stopped they are trying to get the runway clear to bring in a few flights. If there is a snow storm and they need you the next day they usually put you up. Don't forget the hotel rates here
