Better benefits? I was under the impression they hand you pamphlets how to apply for government subsidies when you begin your training. Ill call "60 Minutes" to retractDo you believe management and higher ups impact the part time average given?
I doubt they expect $30 either. I can say my coworker's husband works for a Walmart distribution center and he makes decent money with good benefits.

The typical Walmart Unloader At Distribution Center salary is $18. Unloader At Distribution Center salaries at Walmart can range from $15-$20.
Please quit trying to paint a false narrative of Walmart. I think we can all agree $24.29 an hour to drive a forklift is pretty good pay (and they have better vac/sick than you). In fact all of those positions had people earning over 20 an hour (that is before the coming February pay raises). If all an employee ever aspires to be is a cashier then they chose to accept the pay range. Don't ask me to feel sorry for people that make bad choices. It's bad enough I am forced to supplement their income through welfare.
You seem to forget when American Airlines had the Junior Fleet Service Clerk position that topped out at 9 dollars an hour, yet Walmart is your never ending punching bag. Maybe you need to take a break from the propaganda and actually pay attention.
