Do you believe management and higher ups impact the part time average given?

I doubt they expect $30 either. I can say my coworker's husband works for a Walmart distribution center and he makes decent money with good benefits.

Cashier $7.77 - $11.43
Forklift Driver $13.19 - $24.29
Loader $11.89 - $23.51
Order Filler $12.29 - $20.47
Unloader $11.64 - $22.18

The typical Walmart Unloader At Distribution Center salary is $18. Unloader At Distribution Center salaries at Walmart can range from $15-$20.

Please quit trying to paint a false narrative of Walmart. I think we can all agree $24.29 an hour to drive a forklift is pretty good pay (and they have better vac/sick than you). In fact all of those positions had people earning over 20 an hour (that is before the coming February pay raises). If all an employee ever aspires to be is a cashier then they chose to accept the pay range. Don't ask me to feel sorry for people that make bad choices. It's bad enough I am forced to supplement their income through welfare.

You seem to forget when American Airlines had the Junior Fleet Service Clerk position that topped out at 9 dollars an hour, yet Walmart is your never ending punching bag. Maybe you need to take a break from the propaganda and actually pay attention.
Better benefits? I was under the impression they hand you pamphlets how to apply for government subsidies when you begin your training. Ill call "60 Minutes" to retract

Better sick and vacation yes. I posted their policy on the forums.

Do you not agree this is superior to American Airlines sick and vacation policy?

Before we were unionized LUS was scrambling to save money we had PDOs (paid days off) it would include your vacation plus sick time so say you were at top you would get 35 days you had to keep 5 days for sick the rest is yours what you didn't use you would get paid

If you say so, but their seems to be some variables there, I'm not knocking anyone I'm from LUS and have been more than humbled but I got to say I never heard someone being congratulated for getting a job at Walmart or someone saying "hey you think you can get me in"

I make $7.00 per hour currently more than your top example and have never worked a forklift in my life.
I was not trying to compare your pay with theirs. You were trying to paint a narrative of Walmart employees being low paid. I am simply showing that people can make a decent living working for Walmart. Just like many things in life it is about where you work and what you do. If one settles in a cashier spot and shows no initiative to move up then they get exactly what they deserve, low pay.

Would you feel sorry for a building cleaner (when AA had them) that stayed in that position for 10 years and showed no ambition to move to a higher paying job? I rather doubt it.

Let's be honest, you don't have to earn your pay in a UNION environment. Your pay is based solely on your time and has nothing to do with merit.

From the comments I have read on this forum I can deduce you may not know how to work a forklift but you most definitely know how to work a cell phone.

Makes me wonder how you would fare in the "real" world.

From what I have seen TWU is a **** magnet for people that could not hold a job outside of a UNION environment.

Not saying there are not quality TWU employees but they certainly have their share of horrible ones.

And the past is right where it belongs. In the past.
Yes, it is very convenient to ignore things that don't fit your narrative.

After posting what their MAX wages are compared to mine you're really going to ask me if I'd like to make the trade off to have some more PTO? Seriously?

Why don't you post this on the Maintenance thread and see what they think about you comparing them to Walmart?

I'll be reading and stay out of it.

Here he comes again with his Nuclear bombs. Look out below.

Damn Unionists are going to be the deathknell of us all.

Where's Bob and that great advice he gave me before?

I am sure you had a few Junior Fleet Service clerks and building cleaners on government subsidies as well. And they paid UNION dues for the privilege.

I am sure people have requested help obtaining employment in a distribution center. Just because you have not heard it does not mean it does not happen. I can honestly say I have never heard a request for assistance obtaining employment at American Airlines but I am sure the request has been made.

Bob we need you. HELP!!!! I concede man.

You're smarter than me. There I said it. Now HELP!!!!
