Just as I thought. But people ran with it as a certainty.

They always run with everything as a certainty it seems. Then they want to shoot the messenger or the guy that doesn't buy in to the BS.
Weez I punched out at 2030 and got to the employee lot after 2200 last night. Oh and it was 17 degrees, save me a locker

Whats it going to be a couple hundred dollars at best?Heck Bob your customers spend that much on fuses in a month.

I'm glad someone picked up on this. Let's say in that 2 months someone worked an insane 80 extra hours at straight time.

$6.00 x 80 = $480.00 before taxes and whatever you contribute to your 401k is deducted.

I did one 4 hour OT holdover.

So $9.00 x 4 = $36.00 before taxes and 401k

As much as I would like to receive the extra check before Christmas, I'm not going to ***** about it if we don't. We've all travelled a long rough road for the past 10+ years, regardless if we were LAA, or LUS employees. We're finally making a very decent wage for the work that we do. Let's all just be thankful that we've survived long enough to get to the point that we are at. I know a lot of people who are either out of work, or busting their butts to make $15 an hour, or less in many cases. Some may want to bash me for what I've posted, and feel free to do so. I've given and lost just as much as anyone on this forum, up to and including a lengthy furlough. I realize that our group still has several contractual issues to resolve, but getting this rage has been a huge step in the right direction.

Anyone who wants to bash you is a sourpuss and through all of our adversities we all have one thing in common. None of us moved on to find those greener pastures now did we. And you bet your booties I'm appreciating this raise. Our TWU represented Envoy brothers and sisters only top out at $15.75 per hour.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Not a bash worthy comment...:)...but I think the argument was along the lines if the company indeed said they would do it, even in private (and I'm in the belief corner that they did) then deliver. This company makes way too much money, this company has the ability to get it done if it truly wanted, just like they tell us they our going to cut our pay today, they have the ability to do it by midweek if not sooner. But I do get your point. I too am happy with the hourly rate I make. It was a long time coming and there have been many difficult times and roadblocks that led up to this point. We are not there yet, there is many more things to be achieved, many more things that we deserve. WE GAVE UP A LOT. I don't agree with those folks who say they company is our enemy, I just don't feel they are our friend. And a non friend doesn't care what happens to you, and on many occasions, they will take advantage of you if it benefits them.

Just to clarify about the check. It was not a misunderstanding, the company met with both the fleet and mechanics committee together and 2 weeks ago now and stated the 20th in that meeting. They held a meeting with both groups together yesterday to tell us it wouldn't be coming on the 20th. If it was just a misunderstanding on the unions part? Then there would have been no reason to call us together yesterday for the second meeting to update us on it not happening. The meeting would have never took place if it was just a misunderstanding in the first meeting 2 weeks ago. The company called the meeting yesterday, because they knew what they had told us the week before. However by the signed agreement, they have until the 2nd to get the checks out.

I for one hope that Oyer continues to be a part of your/our Negotiating team. He is an asset in that room!!

I saw what Filter put out but still waiting to read what the official word is.

P. Rez if Fa (What everyone calls him) winds up being there please keep an open mind to him. I've known him for years and he is a very good egg.

Ask him to tell you about the Pilot in the bathroom story.

I agree and feel the same about Oyer. Don't get me wrong, while I respect the memberships opinion to choose who they want representing them, and while I'm sure that the new guy from Dfw will fit in fine. We don't need to lose Oyer. Seen him working on this for over a year now, and he is a sharp guy that everyone imo should want on there.

I know both Fa and Oyer and respect both. Both serious guys that will put real good effort to serve the membership. Hope they can both be on the NC. Really nice guys.

I respect your judgments in character CB and PRez. These individuals seem dedicated to the cause?

I did.

That being said wings396 what you stated does not merit a "bash". In fact you seem to be a thoughtful person that is thankful for his good fortune.

I am happy to see you on the forums,
