It was put out by someone in the negotiating room...that's a fact!

Well whoever should be much more careful with their credibility then. Did this person or persons say that the company was going to "try" to get it to the members by the 20th or was it stated as an absolute?

And I have to assume this was IAM and not TWU again since the 20th is a Tuesday and we get paid on Friday.

I disagree, I want the pilot that fly's me to no place in particular to have the highest education known to man. Its has been those very individuals with that 25 years plus, that also been steadily giving up all those goodies all of have enjoyed in the past.

Just saying.

You're not giving the entire picture again behind those stories. Those stories go back 38 years when then President Carter signed Airline deregulation into law.

And have you ever sat with and spoken to a group of Pilots to gauge how really intelligent some of them are?

You might be in for a rude awakening if you did?

it wasn't a try it was a would, we were told before they would try by the 31st

as far as credibility of someone lol you have no ideal who or what the hell you're talking about.
I have no ideal what you were told on your side ,and I did mention LUS side
I find it telling you're defending the company on this, you might want to remember this is LUS management running this mess and those of us LUS side have seen them in action for over a decade .

Seriously, the comapny agrees to it and you fault the messenger.?? Where is your criticism of the company for telling the negotiators the 20th and not follow through with it.
C'mon man. They don't have to tell you/us, they agreed to it in the room. Just like other things they have
agreed to that you have no notice of.

Union folks at the local level came to the break rooms and said that they requested that the company make the true-up payment before the Christmas holiday. They stated that the company said they would TRY to do that but there was no implicit promise. Then there was a message in Workbrain saying that the payment would be made before the 31st. Think many people misinterpreted and missed out on "TRY".

what gripes me and probably most on here is that when the company wants their money back they sure as he!! don't waste their time in getting it back but situations like this they don't care how long it takes to give us this but if its mgmt. money you best bet they get their share of the pie before anyone Anyone see the picture here

What I read was they Agreed. Might have been misinterpreted by the negotiating committee, or maybe a misunderstanding between the two parties, don't know. But you will know once your bank account reflects it.

I don't frankly give a rats arse what someone "said" would or might happen.

The only thing I give a rats arse about is what I see "in writing"

And no one I know personally in the TWU said anything besides what Bob up there posted.

I'll slam the company when they give me something worth slamming them for. This ain't it.

Just as I thought. But people ran with it as a certainty.

They always run with everything as a certainty it seems. Then they want to shoot the messenger or the guy that doesn't buy in to the BS.

2:30 pm Eastern time and another update is out. Lets just say that either everything will happen at once as one negotiator commented, or we are in for a long long battle. I'm thinking the latter...

Enjoy the break Association, you have got to be exhausted.
