Health care is going to be a factor whomever the President is going to be. Even if you get rid of the ACA in it's entirety, costs will continue to rise even further. At least they are somewhat stable at the moment. But insurance companies are still getting theirs in one form or another.
It is not going to get lower any time soon, IMHO. So the only thing you can do is try to negotiate some sort of lower costs in any contract. (In my own case, my medical went up - due to me getting a higher cost comprehensive plan - but the District negotiated a better dental plan, in which my dental went down, ironically) And the ACA doesn't affect a lot of us anyway (because most of us make way above the thresholds), unless you don't have some sort of "bridge" until you are eligible for Medicare. But the costs (of health care) to businesses is a major concern to them. And to Unions as well.
Is "single payer" the answer........?
