Weez here at LGA Mainline DL ramp does all their express flights probably 200+ daily, employing hundreds of mainline workers. Does LUS/LAA do that at any (our) hubs? Here's the question, would you rather have some ready reserve or have Eagle personnel work those express flights?
Delta has ready reserve subsidizing the decent jobs, and have 42 mainline stations. Toss in 3,000 cargo from 14 cargo centers.

Weasel decided to take the money and subsidize it by tossing dozens of stations and fellow members out, and to utilize eagle as well so he can get his $24 and keep working on his don johnson image with the ladies.

I did? Wow I love that dictator image you've bestowed on me where I get to make the calls in a collective bargaining unit.

Sorry I never tried to start my own Union and anoint myself like you sir. LMFAO.

Oh and AE started up before I hired on. So how did I accomplish that one sniffy?

Oh yea. I want the COMPANY picking up the tab. Do they get to hire the Law Firm too?

Besides with all the real "messes" we've gone through in the last 20 years what makes you (honestly) think there will be ANY interest after the members are making 30 beans per hour?

You are correct there would be absolutely 0 interest. I'd still like to know where my dues money is going

Do DL ready reserve have a chance to move up to full time employees? I don't see many Eagle coming to mainline at least not here

On the Ready Reserves Kev is the guy to talk to. He's stated that their numbers have been growing. He's stated his belief that Delta is trying to grow those numbers to half the workforce.

As far as AE, AA did accept some here in MIA but only ones who had 5 years or less. If you had 5 years or more they wanted them to quit AE and reapply to the mainline so they would start with day one of company time.

I'd rather we do all express work as well as mainline. UAL according to the contract I read does all of their express work in the hubs. I don't believe they have a lower tier wage scale for that but they do have a 12 year progression to top out like you do on your side.
Same scale all around.

To gain that work at least in the hubs I would be agreeable to the 12 year scale. (We have a 9 year scale on our side)
Express work is farmed out in (staffed) line stations?!

Depends... If you want to work in LGA or SEA, then it can often only be a matter of months. If you want to make that jump anywhere else, you're likely waiting a long time...

P.S. At the risk of being pedantic, we actually have 43 stations...

You again don't have any stations if you don't have a contract to protect them. You have whatever the company decides to give you.

Saying this over and over is not meant to be a hit, but make you aware of your reality. Delta management has the unobstructed ability to make any operational changes they feel works best for THEM. Any worker input against those changes is irrelevant and couldn't be challenged in a court of law or through any Arbitration process.

This just in: the sun rises in the east.

Tell me something I don't know, Dave... In the meantime, /right now/ there are 43.

So does AA really not work express flights in the line stations?

I'm not sure if we don't work any at all under contract of the TWU on the AA side? I had heard we did the work in very small stations that we still had staffed before the BK. MEM was one because my friend worked there. It was closed with the BK agreement. 13 people were staffed there.

BTW to say this again. My friend was willing to take a pay cut down to $17.00 per hour if he had been given that "choice" BUT he was not given that "choice" and WE voted to close his station down on him.
