Another "restore and more" alien with 3 heads, where's weasels when you need him?

Don't you know expecting to get everything back is crazy town?
Because again, unless you get everything back, its concessionary, period.
Where do you get "restore and more" from his comment.
I agree with robbed 100%, do not give in to one concession.
The most talked about here have been catering and cargo, but we know
there are others if you read what the Associations puts out in their updates.
And NO, I don't think robbed nor do I expect everything and more back.
And again NO, it is not concessionary if we do not get everything back imo.
Losing something we currently have  i.e catering, cargo, would be concessionary.
I would even go as far to say if one work group got shift differential and we didn't, or a weeks more vacation than we did,
that would be concessionary.

Couldn't have said it better.

There are certainly other cost savings the company will be after besides the obvious catering and cargo jobs. IMO... The International, the respective District leadership and the NC needs to protect existing work at all cost. The JCBA negotiations will be the proving ground for future labor relations going forward IMO.

agree Annotok and Orgac   must protect all current work at all costs.   this company has proven beyond they can make billions    its time to get everything we lost back

"It's time to get EVERYTHING we lost back"

Ok, does anybody else see the contradiction here?

Let's try this, please define your "everything", and then weasels will then classify you as to what part of crazy town you're from.

I'm not going to classify anyone as being from "crazy town" While the term "everything back" doesn't exactly fit since it's impossible to get "everything" back, the expectations are that we should see "dramatic improvements" instead.

In some contracts out there I've seen flexibilities that I've never seen before. Like being able to convert hours into days off instead of pay. The best example of this is in the agents contract where they can convert their Holiday time into two extra weeks vacation if they want. I'd like the same option to come to us.

UAL ramp is receiving more in retirement capital than either one of us are currently now as well. I'd like to see that come to us too.

Getting "everything" back might mean getting back my old house in Arlington and my ex wife. I don't want my old house in Arlington and ex wife back actually. I like the direction I'm heading in now much more actually.

But Traymark just because we aren't again going to get "everything" back. I think it's 100% ok to expect some dramatically better times ahead then what we're leaving behind.

The UAL Fleet contract has now been put together into one piece. In some areas of wages and benefits I see it as a litmus. What I want to see is the Parker 3 above the TOP competitors wage rate. That would take us up to $30.77 at least by November if we want to compare. And I also expect to see Shift Differential added back into the mix. (They did lose Longevity pay though) I want to see an improved retirement offered to the members. UAL ramp get's a 3% match to their 401k and on 1/1/2017 they will receive a deposit of $1.85 into the IAMPF which comes out to just under an $80.00 per month multiplier as well.

So my exact 21 year FT peer at UAL is being compensated much better than I am right now. (And we're talking UAL here which certainly is not performing as well as AA financially and I'm not even mentioning that I believe they receive more in PS)

Medical. My peer pays 20% of the total cost to the company just like I do currently. US IAM members pay less than that currently.

UAL IAM Members have a Pre 65 Retiree Bridge Medical option in their contract. The members use their sick bank to subsidize that at a rate of 11 hours per month. I'd like to see us have something like that be offered to us. And since we had such a horrible sick time multiplier for so long I'd like to see a sick bank replenishment. (My pre funding match could also be used for this)

The old AA stills owes me $6500.00 in retiree medical match value IMO. If that was converted into sick bank hours at my "current" rate of pay I would have a replenishment of 270 hours put back in my bank. (AANOTOK opinion?)

(And no I'm not forgetting that there are SCOPE issues in this agreement)

this is the second time i heard this in 24 hours after one negotiator told me now is the time to dig in.

Robbed, ill ask you the same thing I asked him, how long are you prepared to spend "getting it all" in non section 6 talks?

And are you prepared to apologize after such unacademic strategy destroys and damages our membership by striking out for the next 3 years and is forced into section 6 talks for an additionapl 3-5 years?

Im never amazed now exactly how moronic our leaders are, ie, giving up concessions at the wrong time, and now hardlining all items at the wrong time. Who will we have to blame if we end up F.ing around and sweating the small things, and as a result we find ourselves with less leverage in an industry downturn?

regards,

6 weeks. (was 7, but lost one in the present contract). sCO lost the option to defer AND buy an extra week(s) at 2% of pay. Now you have the choice of one or the other, but not buy & defer.

6 after 29 years. And they can also designate some of them to be used as DAT days instead of blocking all of them.
