The IAM wants more members and is willing to join management's team and subsidize the rest of us if everyone is cool with it. But the company isn't going to give us 1 flight a day scope and has already indicated it will wiggle if the price is right. Weasel may have been tipped off about this because he actually mentioned it months earlier about how the metrics and $30 doesn't fit well in low yield low revenue mid markets. The TWU is insistent of $30 and worry about the unborn later. Not that the IAM hasn't tossed away the unborn, because it has when it decided to freeze our scope and not bring in additional stations like IAH. IMO, we must take care of the current dues payers FIRST and FOREMOST. FIRST AND FOREMOST. In these talks, I don't want to sacrifice the current members for the unborn, for the most part. For example, for the sake of right, I'm not saying that the starting wage should still be at ridiculous low levels. In that case, I believe the unborn [insert new hire] should make at least $15. But we have to keep and enhance language that funnels people to the top of the scale with full time opportunities. I like the TWU's "Full time" First overtime. The TWU pt caps seem better. The TWU retirement and health care is equal whether part time or full time. So, although we must take care of the current peeps first, we can't keep allowing the "IAM way" by subsidizing full timers by slashing part time benefits. That incites less full time opportunities and less money for full timers.

Quite noble but I'm not willing to fight  for TWU P/T health benefits it is already a great P/T job. As long as there is a cap in place most will be fine. I do understand someone totally disagreeing with my view

You yourself, along with Prez flat out admitted that there are ONLY 7 open articles and that pension, wages, etc isn't even on the table yet. I think they didn't open IAH because some stations were under the minimum so they left them open instead. A fair deal if you ask me

What we need is some union delegates to be at the next town hall meeting. They better be there it is  always at a big city with plenty of union members. My dues at work
