i want to hear what the other airlines got . You do realize that when delta got a raise are in fleets case United you got united plus 1 . We got delta plus 3 it should of been plus 7 has Parker promised.so I root for the other airline union members to get the best contract. The twu let all the industry down with there 2003 industry destroying contract. Then again in 2012. Further cuts with no snap back. So you better start caring. And you might not think high of Tim but the day are two before the raises in 2016 he reported it. So I can understand the concerns of other airline union employees wondering if this association will have a negative effect on the industry
It’s hard to keep up with what Tim posted, and I neither like or dislike the man. But at times his incoherent rants make no sense what so ever. And his actions only speak of nothing less of a conspiracy theorist need for more medication. And as far as blaming the TWU for the disillusionment of other shops, well if it make you feel better believe what you want. I for one think the wages, we currently have, and I only speak for myself, are more than adequate.

Would you drop the PS for 7% above DL?

Absolutely 100%. $32.26 + Shift Dif, $67,000 not counting Holiday pay and 401k Match. And at least 2% raise per year for a 5 year deal.

If I want to gamble Al we have a few Casinos and Dog and Horse Tracks I can go to.

Yeah we should be 3% above that even though its what 57 cents above where we are at?

The fact that both the Company and the Unions know we can calculate the BASE rates and compare differences for SCOPE and benefits with at least UAL (And trusted sources at Delta) should still have us fall reasonably into that $32 and change range DOS.

People do focus in like a laser on pay and I’m not sure that .57 cents would be a great sell without other tangible enhancements?

Especially for the IAM side

Association, AA Executive Session Negotiations Continue

December 1, 2017

Brothers and Sisters,

The Executive Negotiating Committee met face to face with American Airlines this week in Washington DC. This session was focused on Maintenance Training Specialists (MTS) and was very productive. Non-economic articles were discussed. Constructive dialog in a productive environment helped the parties significantly narrow their positions in numerous articles that produced an agreement on most outstanding language issues. Complete Tentative Agreements were reached on:
Purpose of Agreement
Preamble
Safety & Health
Uniforms
Qualifications

When the parties reconvene both sides will be prepared to begin discussions on the Scope Article and remaining language issues for MTS.

Additional weeks have been added to the negotiating calendar as follows:
December 4 DCA
December 11 DFW
January 8 DCA
January 22 DCA
February 12 DCA
February 19 DCA

Fraternally,

Fleet Negotiating Committee:

Mark Baskett, William Fa, Mike Fairbanks, Tim Hughes, Steve Miller, Tim Murphy, Pat Rezler, Art Risley, Andre Sutton, Rodney Walker, Bill Wilson

Mechanic and Related/Stores Committee:

Jason Best, Mike Bush, Ken Coley, John Coveny, Dale Danker, Mark Huffman, Bennie Martino, Gary Peterson, Rollie Reaves, Sean Ryan, Jay Sleeman, Mark Strength

Didn't we have our Uniforms, Preamble done like years ago and they are just now getting a TA on them...

There is a reason why the IAM refused to support the TWU in rallies. Soooooo, at least the mechanics finally hammered down uniforms and the really really difficult two paragraph preamble. They must go through $$$ of uniforms. Damn oil!

As a note, the IAM notified management and the TWU that it wouldn't be able to negotiate for the weeks of January 15th, and February 5th due to that being nomination week and nomination endorsement week.

Carry on Weez!

C’mon Tim spill the beans. This is all coming to a close the week of December 11 anyway.

Merry Christmas to you and your Lite Beers.
