JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

There is a reason why the IAM refused to support the TWU in rallies. Soooooo, at least the mechanics finally hammered down uniforms and the really really difficult two paragraph preamble. They must go through $$$ of uniforms. Damn oil!

As a note, the IAM notified management and the TWU that it wouldn't be able to negotiate for the weeks of January 15th, and February 5th due to that being nomination week and nomination endorsement week.

Carry on Weez!
Not mechanics, maintenance trainers.

What's so amazing to him? The Company screwed the pooch on the bid and were facing an major operational crisis during the holidays. The solution was to throw enough money at the problem for the two weeks to get the pilots union to cooperate. Either pay double or triple rates (?) to the pilots group for that short time or lose hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue, not to mention, a public relations disaster.

He is comparing a short, temporary arrangement with the pilots versus a multi-year fleet service agreement, and cannot understand why one was settled in short order to avert a crisis starting in a few weeks? I hope there to be better deductive reasoning representing us at the negotiating table.

Jester give me a break on this one. It’s called theater and pressure. And since you are getting Double Time these coming Holidays yet again it would be nice if this time you pipe down.

I have been supportive of your (IAM) needs and points of view, but don’t try to jam one up my poop shoot ok.

Unfortunately, Jester, this is another example of how Members are set up with improper expectations which raises the level of frustration when the obvious reality takes hold.

First, it seems industry leading contract has been modified to industry leading wages and scope. It could have been a Freudian slip, but those are the words expressed.

Then the expectation of having this done by the end of the year is contingent on the airline fulfilling their "promise." So if we're not done by December 31st the blame is already in place.

It's just a shame how this process has evolved.

The Association has not said ILC in Scope and Wages.

Why are you spouting the company line?

It’s ashame how a so called leader can’t get his mindset out of concessionary bargaining and doesn’t have a seat at the table and throws stones at those who do.

about 34th second in video... "there is simply no reason American can't deliver on their promise on an industry best contract when it comes to economics and specifically Scope."

I guess your response is for the person in the video.

Don't try NYer, it's not worth it. On another subject that should be IAM voices free, at the Thursday union meeting in Dallas it was "implied" that the Equity hold up was purely IRS related, and when they made a decision, the checks could be mailed out shortly thereafter. Also, have you heard about ALL shares have been cashed in, including all minor distributions the company had been making to the union so they could let them add up? I have not heard of any distribution of any decent amount that AA was to make after the BK Judges decision in favor of the unions earlier this year.
Excuse me?

The JCBA negotiations aren’t IAM voices free and should remain that way.

I guess you are just an IAM hater and thanks for the lack of your personal support for our medical.

The comment and question directed to NYer were about the TWU membership and it's equity it was awarded. Has absolutely nothing to do with you or any IAM member. before you go spouting off, read and understand, less arguing.
As for IAM hater, every IAM member in the forum I actually like and respect. Unlike you, they show a bit of class and don't present themselves as know it all. So it would be you and your leadership I haven't been able to adopt a decent feel for yet.

And this thread is JCBA Negotiations for Fleet. At least you are staying on topic. Others are looking for quarters under seat cushions.

Weren’t you the guy who always got upset when anyone else went off topic?

Please take this over to the Equity thread.
