JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

It’s not a fact.

No one knows what would happen.
And I’m telling it is. Feel free to take a strike vote, it is just pointless posturing and will demonstrate nothing. NMB will never release a union to self help that would result in a country wide disruption of air travel. What rock have you been living under.

You can keep wishing to win the lottery too, you will have better luck trying to win but not a snowball’s chance on getting released to self help. Just stating fact.

Bob again if one of these Airlines could prove that they have the resources in place to prevent disruptions to Interstate Commerce why would they not release a group that barely numbers above 2000 workers nationwide?

Now other groups would have far more difficulty to be replaced by sheer numbers alone and no would not likely be replaced. AMFA at SWA is one of the tiniest represented groups by far among the 4 largest N American Airlines though.

Again Bob NWA made it work with Licensed Management, Hundreds of scabs that crossed the picket line and outsider scabs who also joined to do the work. I recall at the time no dispruptions to the NWA operation.

SWA would easily locate enough Mechanics to perform that struck work on only one type of very familiar 737 Aircraft for what their operation would need.

Unfortunately. And again why they WILL NOT have a Strike vote. It would be like attempting suicide.

They are just spouting off with no clue what is really going on. Your post is dead on though. No reason to call for a strike vote. Our Pilots didn't, our F/A's didn't, so why should we??? C'mon folks tell us what to do over here at SWA. LOL...

Even if they were released the feds could step in and block it AA in the 95 pilots strike in the early 2000s NWA mechanics walked out on strike the ops suffered badly

The mechanics association, which calls itself a craft union rather than an industrial union, is not a member of the AFL-CIO, which may prove to be a crucial point in determining whether the walkout is successful. Without the support of pilots, flight attendants and the machinists union, which also said it would not honor the picket lines, the mechanics could quickly find themselves isolated.

There was no sign when talks would resume between the two sides. Northwest said its first priority was to ensure that its operations ran smoothly.

Although the White House has the authority to order mechanics back to work, officials said earlier this week that they would not do so because a strike at Northwest would not pose a severe threat to the nation's transportation system.

And Robbed NWA had double the amount of AMT that SWA has.

Now I hope soon we can get back on topic here?

Jeez Louis.

Any over/under on whether AA will remove the last TWA originated aircraft (S80) or the IAM will replace its last leader who came from TWA (a shop that they haven’t represented or existed for nearly two decades)? In case many are like WeAA (MIA hasn’t had scheduled S80 service since 3/31/2005), the majority of the remaining S80s that are active are former TWA. The newest S80s rolled out in 1999, the same approximate time as the oldesf 737-800, 3AA/N901AN.

Check DECS if you don’t believe me.

In case many are like me? Huh what? And the Left Field Oscar award goes to.

Weez the S80 occasionally comes here and know which gates have the markings and they have the S80 tug attachment still, same story at BOS.

There are still about 45 frames active at DFW, ORD and STL (for now for the LLCers until it closes)

I want AA to go back to all nAAtives (hired NOT acquired) personnel and aircraft. The LUS fleet is dumpy.

actually unlike you sticking your opinions on what should happy here, not many of us give a chit what happens at SW I do know 5 years and counting with no meetings for months is a pretty piss poor return on investment.
