JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet. **New and improved 2.0 version**

AA MIA pretty much grew from the ashes of the folding of Eastern. My guess would be it’s always been fairly heavy on the percentage of PT since there are a lot of staggered Latin American flights that come in here, less than say DFW that has a much higher domestic operation and back to backs.

NYC (JFK and LGA) have been pretty high on PT since I hired on back in 95 as well.
even though it makes sense it still sucks bec it takes away from full time position to be honest

thanks john I would not want to work side by side with the replacement because it at least to me seems the company would at some point want to contract it out to those replacements

Robbed this is their contract that they voted on and passed by 72%. Any one of us can vote no on an agreement but if the majority passes that agreement against our wishes even we should honor the will of our Brothers and Sisters.

Here for your reading pleasure is again what they agreed on.

That’s what seniority and the ability to transfer are good for.

I could have “chosen” to stay and LGA and wait 4 1/2 years to gain FT instead of moving to DFW to gain it in 2 years.

Choices robbed, choices.

Racer X, I’m curious. According to your CBA as I understand it the Company has the ability to go up to a 40% total systemwide PT ratio but I was informed months ago that currently your ratio was only at around 32% total? (If I got that right)

Why has the Company if true not pushed your cap to the max limit?

As you read from NYer there is a bit of a disparity on those FT/PT ratios on the TWU side depending on the city you work in. He should have given you the insanely low number that DFW carries even now after their “floor” was raised in the BK.

They actually had language prior that “capped” their PT numbers at only 150 total.

The new CWA/IBT contract language allows junior part-time employees to get fulltime jobs before senior full-time transfers

Ok. And again 72% of your total membership who chose to vote found that to be acceptable to them.

I honestly hope this is not about to become an exercise in you explaining why that majority was wrong in their choice.

If a deal passes in a Union you accept that decision and move on. As I will accept the will of my Brothers and Sisters when the time comes (Agree or Disagree)

Your numbers are the same as I have heard. I do not have the answer on why. Sorry

If you ask me the membership has accepted far too much and moved on.

The company asks us to take concessions. We (under UNION "encouragement") agree only to have management take MILLIONS in bonuses. We move on.

The UNION imposes the Association on the membership. The membership moves on.

When do people stop accepting then moving on and stand their ground.

I think people are tired of taking a UNION sanctioned screwing........ then moving on.

Spoken like a true socialist.

Feel free to grow a backbone some time in your life.

Section 1113 C, learn about it.

In the second US bankruptcy case the Mechanic and Related never reached an agreement and the judge abrogated the contract.

It’s not a level playing field, advantage goes to the company.

And stop with the personal attacks.

Watcher there are currently 7.6 Billion people floating around on this planet. All with opinions, all thinking they’re right. Some people just can never accept how absolutely small they really are.

Now let’s get it back on topic.
