The current CWA/IBT Passenger Service Agents contract allows 30 mainline LUS cities to be outsourced and replacement thru attrition. Agents working side by side with contractors

Are you speaking of Article 3, Paragraph E? If that’s the Article you are referring to as I read just that part it’s less than 35 weekly departures to be considered for outsourcing. Unless there is still one individual working there as of the date of signing of the agreement. (Station Protection)

That does not mean you work side by side with a vendor. What that means is when the last person leaves in any way “””THEN””” the Company has the right to outsource. Future hires after DOS don’t count for the protection.

Are you talking about something else I’m missing on my little phone?

Weez wants STL to stay open so transfers out of MIA can be cleared and he will get to outbid LLCers for vacation time if they go back to STL for DOH.

Josh
That makes sense. Weez is pretty easy to figure out. He threw his own local under the bus after he only got 11 total votes due to him blasting nyer (obviously it backfired). Weez even told peeps that the only reason why he got destroyed was because he was from new york...but isnt nyer as well from new york?
And he also flipped to align with the iam when lehive cut the fake deal promising him a fll gig screwing jetblue.
So you are obviously correct since even though weez is a great guy his selfishness often precedes him.
He isnt as bad as 700 though as 700 negotiated a deal that wiped out his whole craft.

I am by no means an expert on the CWA CBA, but I’ve heard that their is language that allows management or a vendor to assist them in their duties.

We still have some red coats performing duties side by side with them which came out of the AA side. And I believe the same thing with management to a lesser degree. They’re called Operational Coordinators.

Edit: Technically we’re really not that much different if you think about it. I just did an International inbound. Eulen America inspected the plane, Swissport is fueling the outbound and Skychef is catering the plane. All jobs that we used to do.

My fly says It’s not decided yet.
Could stay at 40%. Like current IAM CBA
Could be 40% of FT employees. ( huge improvement)
Could go above 40% but that would have to be of Ft employees to be an improvement. (Still an improvement over current language as long as it doesn’t get too far above the 40%)

That would be a terrible number for TWU since we currently stand at either 22% or 28%, depending on how you want to figure it.

Are you referring towards mia or systemwide?

System.

We're at about 27% or 35% in MIA, depending on your methodology.

Stations like SFO, SJU, TPA, STL, SAT, ATL are at about 50% FT/PT.

BOS & AUS are almost at 50%.

JFK, MCO & LAS are at about 2 to 1 FT to PT.

Certain jobs cannot be touched or performed by anyone besides the Unionized Agent. The implication I read from John John is fear that there are 30 Stations on the chopping block and vendors are learning their craft to replace them as we speak. I’m sure that’s not the case.

I wonder how many cities they’re currently staffed in in full and how many they staff below 35 weekly?

How many cities do we staff currently if we were combined?

thanks john I would not want to work side by side with the replacement because it at least to me seems the company would at some point want to contract it out to those replacements
