Yes the IAM also took the people that replaced our cleaners.absolutely a conflict of interest and a pretty chitty thing to do over all.One of the reasons I dont trust the chits

Al I’m curious. You knew and were part of the Company you worked for long before the IAM ever stepped in to the picture looking to represent the baggage handlers of USAIRWAYS.

What made the people you worked with want to have a Union? Did anything happen at your Airline before they organized you and got your first contract?

What year did you lose your DBP? If you had the choice would you have preferred to do what the TWU did in 2003 and give voluntary concessions and keep your DBP?

Honest answer do you feel for you the IAM created any value at all or did anything to better your groups pay and benefits? Do you wish you didn’t have a Union?

No debate Al. Just curious.

I dont understand you mean the same way you kept your plan? The union has protected a lot of chit workers I guess thats good if you like that kind of thing. If I add up all the years with or without the union i would have to say I did better without them, but that was more a sign of the times

You didn’t really answer my questions Al?

We kept our DBP from 2003 to 2012 by voting on and agreeing to concessions outside of BK which all 3 Unions on the Property voted for. Would you maybe have liked to have had a vote to keep your Pension as well for a few more years if you could have? I heard your IAM Represented AMT’s had that choice.

So you’re in the firm camp that it was the Unions who put them all out of business and you were fine having no representation when your Company went through all of its many hardships?

You’d prefer they have unfettered ability (No Unions) to make whatever business decisions work best and live and work under those decisions happily?

700 even proudly admitted the IAM gave concessions (which he facilitated and enabled) at USAIR.

I always felt you gave up too much out of bankruptcy. TWU telling you its ok to bend over and of course TWU pioneering the B scale

What I can tell you because I was with alot of those people is that they weren't to happy with their unions when their companies failed

So the Company would have implemented better employment terms if they didn’t have any Unions that they had to negotiate with?

Do you think if Baggage Handlers didn’t belong to any Unions at all we would have better terms of employment right now?

Too complicated to place the blame in all the different areas it belongs for why those Airlines failed and here we are today. American, United and Delta.

But to you the majority of the blame falls on the Unions I suppose?

I think people blame the Unions because it’s just the easiest place to point the finger myself.

Well I dont know but Delta and Jetblue have better scope right now and where they have RR ee have a contract company

You have never organized one member. When you were put on the organizing team to get the upstairs at usair, you were busted for impropriaties. Next thing was money missing and you being shown the door. They should have reported you.

Dude, it's spelled "improprieties"...
Lastly... who the hell do think I am now? Organizing upstairs? You are an f-ing nut case!
