NYer question?

What Section 6 Notice will the TWU/IAM Association file for if there isn’t a JCBA in place?

You can’t file an intent to open a contract that doesn’t exist can you?

Also you forget AA has the right under the RLA to file their intent also but it would have to be two section 6 notices and separate one for each existing CBA.

1. There is a Single Carrier determined.

2. The IAM and TWU are no longer certified as the bargaining agent for their separate groups and contracts.

3. The determining factor isn't the contracts, it's the bargaining representative and for the new American that is exclusively the 3 craft Associations.

Well wait a minute here. If the determining factor is not the separate contracts than why couldn’t anyone just file a Section 6 notification when the TWU/IAM Association was certified as our Bargaining Agent?

What are they waiting for then?

NYer were our separate contracts all null and void once the NMB certified this entity known to you as merely “The Association” or is the Association servicing those contracts?

If the Association is not the one servicing those contracts and they are still active and ongoing can I ask then WHO is servicing them?

Negative. All have a mix of benefitted and RR employees. And all have significantly more than “a handful” of people on the ramp.

So in that case you must also have cities that Delta flys mainline jets into that are not being staffed by actual DL personnel.

I know here in MIA that DL employs Eulen for ground handling but funny that some of those people actually believe they work directly for DL.

We sure do. In fact, MIA is one of the largest operations we have that’s farmed out.

You see this is an area where I want to see the potential of the (TWU/IAM) Association show itself. You’re trying to get in one Union over there and we have 2 here.

I want to see us gain at least the Stations the TWU side lost in the BK.

I think AA is looking at DL and UAL and at best only wants to match bars and not exceed them. I want our groups to set the bar that everyone else strives to reach.

Another Nostradamus on the board. Lots of Nostradamus on here.
Really weez I think there is some logic behind it,much more than your idea that you work for the union anyway as far as Nostradamus the only thing I can predict with certainty is that unions are a business and they have and will continue screwing the workers

Exactly!

Being represent is a value proposition. My airline is likely hoping you hold at 40, so they can say we have more. Get another 10-12 (re)opened, and all of us can point to that as another good reason to sign a card.

Oh it’s the Unions that are screwing me? Well I have no clue why I didn’t figure that out by now being a pretty decently smart cookie.

I always thought it was the Company’s that have to pay me and answer to their shareholders as well that would be the ones trying to screw me?

Thanks for updating me Al.

No BS only good old BLS comin from me.

Kev if we can set a bar for you and DL wants to go up and over it, well more power to both of you.

As you know I’ll happily hang back here with my X amount of pages of contractual language and not beetch about that for a second.

So Al again business or not and of course ultimately the business is us, the average Union member in the US makes around $10,000 more per year than his non Union counterpart.

No matter what anyone out there wants to throw at me. All the mundane minutia, the emotional claptraps, dogmas, posturings, petty meanderings and what nots. It always falls right back into what’s in my wallet that counts Al.

It’s all about the wallet.

Edit: Forgot to add Loopy Bits. Can’t ever leave out all them Loopy Bits.
