How does that work weez you are still on the AA payroll and get paid bu IAM too and when you go to IAH what is this recreation expense on your expense account. You know what Weez the last member of the audience walked out and told me I suck

No not at all. PHX has added more markets than any Hub since merger. PHX employment is at an all time high too. More employees there now even than when it was US HQ.

There has been a decline in mainline flying, in large part because of larger aircraft, but also paradoxically, smaller RJs are taking some of the mainline flying. These "new markets" have been nearly all small markets flown by Express, as I listed in my aforementioned post. Some of these new mainline flights since the merger are just seasonal (JAC) or formerly flown by mainline but now Express (MEM) or since discontinued (CLE). Wouldn't surprise me, in the least, if some of the Hawaii stations are discontinued from PHX in the short-term and moved to LAX instead and to a lesser extent DFW.

My long-term believe has been unchanged... PHX will become a focus city of sorts flying to all hubs, few key cities, in particular, with code share partner hubs, and a reliever hub for LAX Express flying. Does any single airline need 9 hubs, and of American Airlines, which one would be the weakest?

Edit:
This was from last year, and I don't think much has changed...
"Three years after American and Arizona-based US Airways merged, the airline is cutting flights and shifting to smaller planes on many routes as it carves out Phoenix's role among its nine hubs across the country. It also faces increased competition from low-cost carriers like Frontier and Spirit.

The upshot: American's passenger count is down 6.5% this year, with the pace of the declines accelerating since July." https://www.usatoday.com/story/trav...american-airlines-shrinking-phoenix/95901202/

I don't believe mediation would be too far on the horizon. It may be triggered quicker than the normal timelines.

whom do you believe is going to trigger the mediation? the association or the company? which party will call deadlock/impasse?

So long as LGA has the perimeter rule, for which I don't see much changing due to slot restrictions, limited space and short runways (7,000 feet vs. 14,500 feet), JFK will continue to be viable for NYC O&D.
Possibly but the perimeter rule is going by by Parker was already here and while not a fan AA would definitely bring transcons here slots for RDU,XNA eyc would be used

Weez iam gig was a deal to pick up where 700 left off.
Generally, its not "full time" but something more like a stipend. They usually have a few dozen social media pollyannas on staff getting out their message. Weez comments every 10 minutes, so its not hard to imagine what he is doing when he is skipping out of work on his gate. Sad.

As reported earlier, lehive cut the deal for weez to focus on jetblue in fll after a contract is ratified.
Btw, anyone who is pro working people would never try to organize jetblue after the amfa court ruling. All of the jetblue rampers would most likely be eliminated .

The idea of a buyout for those of us who remain behind is that it grows opportunities for Seniority advancement. PT to FT and FT to better shifts and days off. While I absolutely agree with your point on adding something pushing it out even further. What would be the point in any language if the Company had a back door way to circumvent the intention of that language in the first place? (Strong letter of intent needed for this one IMO)

Just wanted to make a point for our guys to be mindful of.
Not necessarily....don’t forget, the company wants to replace us with vendors. So here is no guarantee of anyone moving up in seniority due to a buyout... potentially everyone would stay right where they are on the list. True you may move from 17000 on list of 17000 to 12000 on list. But that would be on a list of 12000. Last is last. The other 5000 would be vendor work.

Jetblue is between a rock and a hard place with the pilot shortage they are going to have to pay their pilots market rates or else pilots will avoid Jetblue and go with the big 4.To keep their cost advantage the money is going to have to come from somewhere likely fleet ,customer and maintenance services. If they vote union most stations will be contracted out, if they dont they will always make less

Another Nostradamus on the board. Lots of Nostradamus on here.

I’m sorry but I have ZERO interest in working for or being PAID by any Union at all including your own IAM. Say something over and over and over and over enough times and yes they do start to believe you though.

But you can continue to troll me for eternity or at least till your 70 years old if that’s what floats your boat I guess.

Hey Weez, looks like Parker and the gang are going to be in your neck of the woods this week. Be sure to give them the business! Looking forward to MIA putting some heat on them.

Racer my comment was without “more” never ending job function cuts from Management. I’ve made my decision and any more work we perform today must stay and that’s it. I’m already surrounded by vendors on all sides for each flight. Eulen to inspect and clean, Swissport to fuel, Skychef to cater. They shouldn’t even be there.

Any more outsourcing is a no vote from me.
