if it gets to that level, let's hope the wages and overall compensation will also be deemed a stalemate. woefully inadequate.

wages and profit sharing each got it's own bulletin/beef from the association in the past week. i'd say that's stalemate material.

Won't be a stalemate. It isn't like we'll be in the middle or the lower end of the pack. Most groups, if not all, will be at the top of the industry.

I occasionally get bad indigestion in the middle of the night that keeps me up for a while. So I pass some time till it settles down.

Does your Mustang work at night? Ford products don’t have such a great reputation compared to Honda or Toyota and are known to have weird quirks like consistently needing repairs and attention.

If you are in Section 6 Negotiations and either side believes there is an impasse (the correct term). The union has the right to ask the board to declare an impasse.

If an impasse is declared you go into a 30 day cooling off period. At the end of the 30 days, the union can strike, the company can impose, the board can ask for a Presidential Emergency Board (which delays it another 30 days while the board comes up with a solution that neither side has to take. Or talks can continue and the workers remain on the job.

During the 30 day cooling off period, the board will hold Super Mediation to try to solve the issue.

You always say what the COMPANY wants because you sold out to the people who represent the COMPANY years ago. BTW I thought Sito gave away all that stuff months ago? That’s what YOU told everyone.

And I’ve come to expect your habitual 5 AM Robo hits by now. The other thing you wrote is nothing but pure garbage Company man.
He did but i cuffed him again with another election so we should be good for another year. What i didnt know is how alex would react but he is beta and Sito is alpha so all good!

You mention the “part time cap” did they mention that in either their Jetnet print or the two videos they put out? I do not recal seeing/hearing it or what they were asking.

Publicly they didn’t state their position on what kind of PT language they want. One assumes they want the weakest language of the two contracts or even weaker than what’s already written?

But that wouldn’t play well in videos I’m sure.

Big unions are challenging American companies to show them the tax-cut money.

Before the sweeping tax cuts were passed late last year, major U.S. corporations joined President Trump and Republicans in Congress in vowing the reform would grow the economy, create jobs and raise wages. And since then, many have boosted minimum wages, doled out bonuses and increased spending and charitable giving.

But the unions want companies to go a step further. As part of ongoing contract negotiations or talks set to begin within months, unions including the Communications Workers of America, Service Employees International Union, the Teamsters and the American Federation of Teachers are asking companies such as AT&T and American Airlines to reveal how much the tax overhaul will fatten their profits and what they plan to do with the windfall. They’re demanding that the companies specify the portion of the gains that will be used to boost wages, bring back jobs from overseas and make capital investments as well as the amount going toward increasing executive pay and buying back stock.

The company is proposing 40% of the number of all fleet...the union is countering with 40% of the number of full time positions only...this includes CC, tower and loads headcount...it’s also a system aggregate and not a station cap, for example they could staff a smaller station with all part as long as the system numbers didn’t exceed 40%...

hmmm...if section 6 mediation is way over the horizon...i'm thinking by that time ua, dl and wn will be ahead of us wage-wise and way ahead of us wage + profit sharing wise.

I don't believe mediation would be too far on the horizon. It may be triggered quicker than the normal timelines.

How does a buyout and possibly decent amount of those full time people leaving the Company affect that PT headcounts growth? Do the “positions” remain in place or would the Company look to cut each position from the overall count?

Ok Al sure maybe they can do a few tweaks on it and TWU Fleet side might go for it? But what about your side? And what about Maintenance? They want to cut them in some areas right off at the hips.
This is business it doesn't matter what my side thinks majority rules. But thank you for being considerate. What would you say if I kept my insurance another year and you weren't compensated for it

Unfortunately no it’s not just completely business because there are Politics involved and no elected leader is going to bring back something that gets the crowd to stone them from the village.

Speaking for “me” I’d be fine with it. But the Medical expense is not high on my list again as a single participant. But at the same time I also don’t want to honestly subsidize the guy who made that life choice to have a family either for the long term. Otherwise I would have chosen to start a family of my own and have ALL the expenses that come along with that.
