Since our Union officials read this, here are our demands:
1. $100,000.00 buy out min
2. No penalty for early retirement on our pension under the age of 60.
3. Use sick time for benefit payments, if benefits are not wanted, 100% pay for remaining sick time!
4. Retroactive pension 2011 to DOR for the TWA personnel. ( TWA people were not vested til 2002 therefore, their AA pension is currently $600.00 to $900.00. If they receive retro pension it will raise the amount $1,300.00 to $1,600.00, still below the career AA employee retiring the same day)
5. Moving allowance to home of record for those who have to commute.

Kev does DL offer same kind EO like what you had at NW? When CWA had their early outs i had heard they had restrictions on how many cld take it. I wld not be surprised if AA does same w M&R and FSA. Not sure why Josh has to keep bringing up the past every time but its old. The airlines are in billion year profits . DP stated AA wont ever lose money again. And he further stated AA employees deserve industry leading contracts........ Well DP ur actions have yet to come to fruition

Honestly, there needs to be a new thread since there wont be any jcba without negotiations. The new thread should read "section 6 negotiations".

All the current conversations on this page should be shelved unless weez gotta rally his twu support for our healthcare.

Another thing. Lying Mark Baskett wont tell you that reagon sold us out before and he will refuse to tell you how tuff sito talked for rail....but then when rail put pressure on him, sito accepted 400% health care increases JUST 2 MONTHS AGO.
Good Grief!

It’s one of many things we lost.

Actually, they’ve gone all the way to the other end of the spectrum and formally announced that there won’t be ANY kind of EO’s anytime soon.

you forgot to make the demand of moving all ord operations to stl.

i've been with aa since 87 and my pension will be at the low end of your estimate. why should our negotiators roll up their sleeves to get more compensation for ex-twa people?

There was an ex TWA employee on fleet NC. Don’t believe it was ever brought up.

from what i remember, i believe there was an ex-twa employee on the CWA negotiating team that tried to sneak in a DOH clause for ex-twa ticket agents. if i remember correctly, this person was removed from the negotiating team and the clause removed..before voting on the passenger service TA.

I never heard that before.

The IAM is still bitter the TWU acted in the interests of their membership at the time (a novel concept to the IAM) and as Bob has said they pushed for dovetail due to AFL-CIO affiliation. Why did the IAM expect the TWU to honor language their own union wouldn’t?

For years this forum has gone on to no end about the LLCers.

CWA and AFA (as an organization) have been vocally in support of TWA issue. Even more the reason APFA should never merge with an AFL-CIO money grab.

Don’t necessarily believe what they tell you Kev. Keep an eye on the hiring and the OT. If they’ve been hiring in waves and OT is drying up in places there’s a very good chance that buyout offers could come your way? Unless they just find creative ways to get rid of you arbitrarily anyway.

They were saying the same thing to us only a few short years back.

Why would any Company be stupid enough to telegraph for you to stick around and wait for the money if you might leave on your own anyway?
