Since it is becoming more and more evident that having an A&P license is not worth it. It is time for an major increase in license premium. No disrespect to my fellow fac/plnt and auto mechanic employees, but we are getting hammered with much more rule and regulation discipline than probably any other work group, even more so than the pilots. We deserve more in license pay.
I agree with you 100%. Ours hasn't changed for more than 10 years and it's time to address it again. The Lic prem. should increase as they are getting more and more expensive to obtain and as you state more and more rules and regs. that are attached to the lic.  If for some reason one of us were to lose our lic (revolk or suspended) then how much of a price tag is or was that lic. worth?  I honestly feel that our lic prem. should be doubled.

Bitching and moaning all the way to the bank!!
Good for you Rogallo, very happy for you guys.  Have seen this asked or posted yet. Does anyone have the exact dollar per hour the mechs are going to at AA?  If it's D+3 then 46.15 plus 3% is 47.54, or is it 3% base above Delta then add in all the lic. premiums and shift diff ect...

No details released yet. Just the release from the union and whatever is in the press releases I've been reading.
I'm not guessing on amounts for hourly and lump sum retro or whatever the check will be called. I'm sure guys will be expecting more or less than what they will see come November. I checked jetnet payroll link on hourly pay rate and it's still not updated. We were told new pay rate takes affect the day of the announcement.

Early rumour is that its moving the amt top out from 5 years to 9 years, so If you are not already topped out you are going to get the shaft. There are some guys that are 1 month away from 5 years that are gonna get screwed and wait 4 more years.

I hope this is not true.

Just a rumour. Wish they would hurry up on the details.

The numbers that were given to me were $9.13 raise to put us at $46.76 (base and license premium) and to start on the first day of the next pay period (Aug 13). As you can see this is not Delta +3. The money was given in exchange for working each others metal. I can remember when Parker said that he could not give us the money up front because he would not get a contract. Now he has received what he wants and we have just given up any leverage that we might have to get a contract with increased holidays ,vac and any other increase in benefits that were given away since 2003 by the twu.

^^Exactly^^

There is something disturbing to me about not putting the raise in our pay rate NOW. It just seems to me that changing our rate would be more easily done than cutting a check for the difference between now and November then afterward having to do it again for overtime purposes, just makes no sense and the reason I am looking forward to seeing the language of this "Agreement".

I am guessing that the Company Payroll Department is a M_F 8am - 5pm occupation?

Anyone who would like what the IAM handed out, it is three sheets of scanned documents reference the subject of the Interium raise. I have tried to attach these documents with no success.
If someone would guide me through the process.

I attach then right a sentence explaining and hit enter and a message comes back stating
i have to out more than 2 words in my statement????

Wondering who is giving the Negatives to people just stating opinion? Seem to come in pairs.
