Good to get something for it. At UAL the teamsters airline div president gave away resource utilization at the very beginning of the merger 5 years ago and we got nothing in return.

Maybe ask someone from the NC why increases are more for t2 the t1?
Supposedly when using the method of going for the better rate of the two unions / companies, in the case of Inspectors at LUS were making more than their counterparts at LAA, therefore the percentage awarded to the LAA Inspector was higher. When looking at the JetNet  AMT's will receive 23% vs Inspections 25%.

"Title II" is Facilities & Auto Maintenance.  Inspectors are "Title I".

if you rember most fac maint did not sign AMFA. Cards so the twu is given them more to keep them happy imho

Agreed, more of the TWU playing favorites.  Just like they did with Sim Techs who used to make about 5 bucks an hour less for working on pretend airplanes in a climate controlled environment to about 5 or 10 bucks an hour more than us.  We outnumber them, pay more in dues, and are still getting the shaft in negotiations.  Somebody get me an AMFA card.

yes I was showing an example.

So the Facilities at LUS might be making more than their counterparts at LAA.

Didn't someone on here describe the ground workers at LUS all being AMT's  and could work at many different functions?

You always negative? Did you not read the pay negotiations were still going to continue. You do not know all the details yet you must slam.
I will always be negative (your words) to look at every avenue of everything. I must look at the worst possible scenario to way things out. If you or your counter parts do not do the same, you and they will get screwed in the long run, or later on when you finally realize it.  Fist off, I said in my comment that at least you guys are getting something for now--GREAT.  But, where is that 7% instead of the 3% that was promised?  Why are YOU not screaming about that is beyond me. I truely hope you guys get more in future nego's, but it is not in stone. I am happy for you guys, and your raises just helped the next airline mechanic group, but in my opinion, it could have been better and well deserved.

Oh we all appreciate the pay increase Bigjets; however, for once, it would be nice to get one without losing our dignity.

Amen brother...

The company still owes us 4% back to almost 3 years. Ball park figure is around 9000.00 plus change. They need to make it right for all union members!!!! IMO
Yes. Remember the 4% and then some...

Hey association clown Dfwconehead is not. He is a smart person and a great mechanic. Just because you disagree dose not give you the right to judge somebody like that . But if the twu/Iam really wanted to make a point that the company is slow they need to give specific information. They need to let observers in . But they do not the twu has lied to many times for me to trust them without proof. Dose you will have a vote on the association ring a bell .

Again swamt, they are still in negotiations. A JCBA has NOT been voted on. I have a pretty decent raise now that I will not lose. I will have a contract to vote on in the future that has been negotiated. IF I don't like it, I will vote it down time and time again. I will still be earning that decent money while they go back and negotiate some more. Scope, work rules, Holidays etc...are all still in play and being negotiated, even PAY.

Is it clear or not how the IAMPF is going to be handled?

I haven't heard Buck but if you want my opinion, you and I will not be forced into it. Now today they gave those guys a .15 cent bump from $1.15 to $1.30 on their pension and did not increase our match other than it increasing from higher pay. Was that .15 a weak attempt to entice someone to join if given the option later? Again, this is all still open in negotiations. Who knows what good/bad comes in the form of a T/A. We were given some good money, so if they try forcing us into it, vote no till 2018...This was better than the 2.1% we were getting in Sept. We will get that in 2017 if we vote no on a piece of garbage. And we keep what was just given. A little of my opinion and a few facts.

Withholding info from the membership is not the way the association should handling things. We already have a low opinion of the association because of how it came about. Whoever is suppose to handle communications is doing a poor job.

Info we should know:

What is the status of our 14% equity the union took from us. (Posting a legal brief is not the correct way to do that)

What are our proposals to AA

What is AAs proposal to us

This kind of info would stop rumors and give us a sense of WE are the union. Instead of us having the feeling that we have to pay this organization as a condition of an employment at AA.

I do support the NC, but disappointed in communications.

its great to see the pay issue getting resolved - it's make you really wonder how much is left to negotiate - I hope this will help folks begin to get to a better place
