Anybody else notice Plant Maintenance is getting 29%, and AMTs only 23%?  Seems plant maintenance gained .80 cents per hour on our last wage adjustment to where their base pay is actually higher than an AMTs.  Looks like the company and the TWU are doing all they can to devalue our license premium.
Link?

It would appear Chairman of Plant Maintenance Dale Lantz is making a good case that his people are worth as much or more than an AMT. Who's in the AMT corner making a case for their worth?
It looks to me like Harry and Sito have been over there getting us some money while Peterson dots the i's and crosses the t's for bulletin boards and uniforms until 2018.

I must correct here ch777. We are currently at 43.89 all in rate on day shift @ SWA.  Not over the 45 plus.

I'll bite.  Please tell us how you know, it really does need to be shared with the membership.

Looks like they (asso.) has nothing to pat themselves on the back for. After reading the update posted today, looks like this asso got you guys D+3 NOT D+7.  According to the letter it will take affect Nov 2016.  So Delta is at 46.15 X 3% = 47.54 whereas it should be 46.15 X 7%= 49.38. Which is more like where you guys should be.  I will say this, at least they are getting something and not having to wait for the contract to get ironed out. However, with that said, did the union just agreed to an increase with out a membership vote?  What does that mean if the contract is voted down later on?  What happens if UAL or SWA come to an agreement and you guys are no longer leading wages?  Too many open and unanswered questions remain...

Well well, well, there you have it.  You guys just experienced how the co. and the asso. is going to slam the D+3 on you.  There must have been enough rumblings from the membership about the D=? so they just figured a way to away with just D=3 rather than the D+7 and no vote will be taken.  Wow.  The co. is not being nice to catch you guys up while waiting for the rest of the contract, they are doing it for a reason and now you know that reason.  The membership must scream loud and clear to the NC that we are more than willing to accept this D+3 at this time BUT, there must be another 4% at DOS as long as it is under 1 year from now.  You guys need to force them to do this so you guys can get a say so about the pay-jmo...

swamt On Mon a group of us were talking with a manager about 3 PM and he mentioned that something big happened in negs today but he could not tell us what it was. Only that we would be happy with the news. Mon is a travel day for the neg committee and they would not start talking until at least 1 PM. So there is no way that all of this got hashed out in less than 2 hours. Then Lombardo and Garcia make a surprise appearance in negs on Tues and they take the neg committee out to dinner. Anyone can see that it was only presented to the committee to vote on and not neg by them. The more things change the more they stay the same.

Hopefully with a portion of the monetary issues out of the way, when a jcba t/a is finally achieved, people will pay attention to the other portions of the contract before voting. Eg... scope, iampf scam, medical insurance to give a few examples

The negotiators are on the hook here. If they disapprove the deal for good reason the membership will fault them. If they approve someone will point out the negatives. Sounds like another divide and conquer within the union and membership. Just last week Peterson made a video that the company is not playing ball and now this comes out. WTF?

wtf?  this just means   the INT is always in control of the money in negotiations the neg committee are just there to put the verbage together and make the membership believe they have some sort of representation. we are all fools.

When do we start the card drive.

Good,  I hope you get the interem lump right away and hope the union didnt give something important away. I dont get this November deal.... why not next week. Have payroll punch in the new rates.

If they go back 90 days then that will give us about 5500.00 minus taxes. What about our 4% for the past 32 months. Union and company selling us short

This is more of the TWU chipping away at the value of AMT license pay to spread the wealth Karl Marx style.

It means that Peterson is full of crap.  He's over there stalling the negotiations and blaming the company.  It means that Parker has been wanting to give us $$ like he said but has been unable due to the NC fooling around with BBs and uniforms.

Finally someone, probably Sito gets the idea to say hey, give some money and we'll finish the thing up when we can. Parker, wanting to get synergies agrees as long as we can work each others metal.

I dont think it means the end of the money or the end of anything else, ie scope, just a gap measure to get a couple things done, for now.

IMO, I think on the face of it, its a good start. Now if we could get the NC to get going on the agreement, we could get the rest of it in place.

Peterson has done a good job of deflecting all the blame on everyone else like he has always done. I don't understand why the membership lets it go on.

Why are the Inspectors getting: 25% vs, the AMT/Mechanics: 23%

I gave you one green cause I couldn't give you more. Excluding or having no opinion on Peterson (don't know him) even pertaining to Fleet, I agree with everything you said. And yes, it is a good start. We have some money, now it seems as though the ball has rolled to our side of the court. If we don't like things, we can vote no yet enjoy the raise. AND you won't have as many people voting yes just for the money, now they can/need to look at all the articles. Just me and my opinion.
