I have read all his letters and seen his videos. He dances around making excuses in each and never gives specifics. I say gives us specifics as to what is happening, exactly what we are asking for and exactly what the company is offering. So we can see how they are low balling as he claims they are. ,
And that's why I posted the update. At least someone get's it...

I read some of SWA contract and they are asking for Delta plus 11.9% . We we're promised Delta plus 7%. If SWA wins it will put them at 51.64 an hour all in. We should not accept anything less than Delta plus 7%. So the company and union get off your butts and get this done!!!!A twelve percent (12%) signing bonus at ratification;
Nothing less than Delta +7% for you guys. That is what was promised from your CEO from the very beginning. Hold him to it. And if your asso. doesn't? Fire them. Why in the hell are they (the asso.) is backing away from the D+7 is beyond me. Also heard that it went down to D+3% and may very well go lower. WHY??  What the heck has changed? Nothing. This asso. should full force push forward and demand the original Delta or United (as I remember it) plus 7% or no contract.

And your negotiations started 4 Years ago???
your point is we have been living 13 years with pay cuts. Where AMFA at southwest has there mechanics at the highest paid. I rather be where they are at 45 plus and full benefits cheaper insurance. Then where we are at more then 10 dollars a hour just in pay not counting benefits.

Don't you read his updates?  Did you see his last video, or read his letter to the 591 Membership??
yes I saw it both the updates and video leaves a lot of questions. Why want they say what the offers are. Why want they say what the company is offering. There updates suck . AMFA has great updates.

From what I heard the announcement around 9 AM  today about our wages is proof that the two unions have been  negotiating behind the back of the negotiating committee. It doesn't matter how much things change it all remains the same with industrial unionism. If anyone wants to know how I know the unions have been doing this please ask.

And your point?  How long have you guys been in nego??  AND, how much longer will you guys go???  At least AMFA's posted nego's update is very informative of what is really discussed at the table. Do you have ANY idea what is being discussed at your nego's table????  I didn't think so.  Get a clue why I posted that update for the AA members of the mechanic group. Get a clue why ALL the airlines are stalling the nego's across the board.  It's all about record profits and delivering record returns to the investors. Until,, they are ready to settle. It's all a stall tactic by all the airlines. When they are ready to settle then we all will have a new contract, PERIOD...

Hey swamt, give those TWU backing imbeciles a break. They have so little to pat themselves on the back about!!

And the TWU takes over after the IAM just had it for the first two years. So yeah, we're looking at least another two years!!

What's up with the improvements on the pensions?
Is the company going to unfreeze them?

Idk. I hope they provide more details later.

Both groups are getting the mushroom treatment. They're waving $ around and patting themselves on back for doing a great job.

Where is the hook? A big juicy worm like this has to have a hook buried in it,it is inevitable.

The retirement improvements had best not be LAA being crammed into IAM pension fraud.

"We’d like to thank Association Chair and Vice Chair Sito Pantoja and Harry Lombardo for listening to the entire Association membership, and taking our voice to American’s executive leadership to make this happen."

So the Int'l got it done?

What was the function of the negotiating committee?

Will we the membership of TWU/IAM get to see the text of this agreement that the Association signed off on without a vote?

I thought this paragraph was amusing since Pantoja and Lombardo ARE the Association membership!

I must correct here ch777. We are currently at 43.89 all in rate on day shift @ SWA.  Not over the 45 plus.

I'll bite.  Please tell us how you know, it really does need to be shared with the membership.

Looks like they (asso.) has nothing to pat themselves on the back for. After reading the update posted today, looks like this asso got you guys D+3 NOT D+7.  According to the letter it will take affect Nov 2016.  So Delta is at 46.15 X 3% = 47.54 whereas it should be 46.15 X 7%= 49.38. Which is more like where you guys should be.  I will say this, at least they are getting something and not having to wait for the contract to get ironed out. However, with that said, did the union just agreed to an increase with out a membership vote?  What does that mean if the contract is voted down later on?  What happens if UAL or SWA come to an agreement and you guys are no longer leading wages?  Too many open and unanswered questions remain...

Well well, well, there you have it.  You guys just experienced how the co. and the asso. is going to slam the D+3 on you.  There must have been enough rumblings from the membership about the D=? so they just figured a way to away with just D=3 rather than the D+7 and no vote will be taken.  Wow.  The co. is not being nice to catch you guys up while waiting for the rest of the contract, they are doing it for a reason and now you know that reason.  The membership must scream loud and clear to the NC that we are more than willing to accept this D+3 at this time BUT, there must be another 4% at DOS as long as it is under 1 year from now.  You guys need to force them to do this so you guys can get a say so about the pay-jmo...

There is more than likely multiple hooks that will come out. A couple are;  they just got away with D+3 not D+7.  Secondly; they pay now as they now know other airlines are coming to terms soon and the "industry leading wages" will go higher and higher so it is cheaper for them to pay now instead of years later.  The membership should be all over this and let the NC/international know that you guys should be around 50 not 40-something...
