I know this sounds foreign but don't be surprised if Parker fronts us some money upfront. Then he addresses all the outstanding issues with the Association.

Heard from reliable source - company negotiators are standing firm on keeping many of the contract articles unchanged from the bankruptcy negotiated terms.  Jim Wheel was quoted as saying "we are not Delta or United", when referring to our current vacation disparity.  Seems the company is playing hardball, contrary to what Doug Parker is claiming.  Keep that in mind next time you're even considering going above and beyond.
How many weeks of vac. do you guys get?

Again, this is exactly why the Association should come out and tell us everything that is being discussed, proposed and rejected. I do not need a ridiculous update or "reliable source" to pass on info telling me it's the company. Show me and all the members the crap that the company is offering so I can vent 100% of my anger their way and form MY new work rules, habits and attitude. Until then, part of that anger will be directed at the Association until they start listening to the members. Lombardo, are you going to do anything for your members that work at AA? How long have you been in office? You sir have done nothing but accepted your pay from my pocket. Become a leader...What the hell is good about being in a union if you can't beat the company at ANYTHING! Prefunding anybody!

I do not understand why we have to hear these kinds of things 2nd, 3rd and 4th hand.  IF Peterson is having such a difficult time with the company why doesn't he come out and specifically say what the company is hardballing on?

This lack of transparency by Peterson leads me to believe there may not be much truth to what the "reliable sources" say.

Cause he's an int'l puppet like all of them have been before him and he will do as he's told!

Bet his last video had to be approved by the intl before he could release it??

Thanks, guys. DL brought the 5th week back a year or two ago. IIRC, you need 29 years to get it? 4 weeks after 11...

We had 7 at NW prior to BK; I never came close...

I`ll just leave this right here...

Sorry to intrude but here is a real good update from a negotiations meeting that will leave no reasons for rumors to start:

AMFA - SWA Technician Negotiations Update #43
August 3, 2016 -- AMFA met with the Company in Dallas, Texas on July 26–28, 2016, for a scheduled mediated session. To begin the session, the AMFA Negotiating Committee chairmen met with the mediator, and with her guidance we worked as a Committee to again prepare a list of our "asks" to be presented to the Company. AMFA later met with the Company and presented our list, which included...

And your negotiations started 4 Years ago???

I read some of SWA contract and they are asking for Delta plus 11.9% . We we're promised Delta plus 7%. If SWA wins it will put them at 51.64 an hour all in. We should not accept anything less than Delta plus 7%. So the company and union get off your butts and get this done!!!!A twelve percent (12%) signing bonus at ratification;

And your point?  How long have you guys been in nego??  AND, how much longer will you guys go???  At least AMFA's posted nego's update is very informative of what is really discussed at the table. Do you have ANY idea what is being discussed at your nego's table????  I didn't think so.  Get a clue why I posted that update for the AA members of the mechanic group. Get a clue why ALL the airlines are stalling the nego's across the board.  It's all about record profits and delivering record returns to the investors. Until,, they are ready to settle. It's all a stall tactic by all the airlines. When they are ready to settle then we all will have a new contract, PERIOD...

I have read all his letters and seen his videos. He dances around making excuses in each and never gives specifics. I say gives us specifics as to what is happening, exactly what we are asking for and exactly what the company is offering. So we can see how they are low balling as he claims they are. ,

Actually they started longer than 4 years ago, we are just coming up on our 4 year of no raises and since our contract was able to be amended. Sounds to me like YOU are waiting for us (SWA) to come to an agreement in order to know what you guys will get, am I wrong here?  Didn't think so...
