JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA AMTS

I expressed my opinion a while back that AA won't negotiate the money aka.. Compensation until after the company gets its final headcount in order. This is proof that they intend to drag a jcba until they are ready. Remember we have a CBA until September 2018. Strap in and enjoy the ride. Thank you Association for screwing us over. Maybe someday we as a group will wake up and be better organized.

I'm confused...you said that the company intends to drag this out, but that the association is screwing us over.

How is the association screwing us over if the company is dragging this out?

No love for the ASS, but your statement is confusing.

Just to be clear on one thing. It was AMFA local 11 that organized this IP for Dallas Love Field. The Pilots immediately joined in and helped as well. They provided the Pilots, the SWAPA media group, media connections, and all kinds of "what to do and not do" for a professional and well organized picket.  Unprofessional would have been no dress code on the line, people randomly yelling and screaming, ect...  Hell we had to wear black uniformed pants, all same shirts, all same hats, all same black shoes, if someone showed up without anything that matched to a "T" they were offered black pants to change into. or they did not walk the line and some didn't as we ran out of the extra pants brought in.  Heck, even the way we held our signs were directed by the Pilots that said everyone will hold a sign and it will be held with the right hand at upper corner and left hand at lower corner, everyone at a 30 degree turn facing the incoming traffic to Love Field.  We received a very large support from 80% of all the people driving into the airport with waves, honking horns, and even other aviation groups (Rise aviation being one) showing up with waters, donuts and good wishes of support. When done in such a professional and organized manner you are taken Much, much more seriously by all.  The company was in awe by the huge turn out as well as the Pilots and F/A's showing in large numbers.  It done it's job of getting the companies attention.  The company was expecting chaos from the mechanics and were shocked at the professional well organized IP that came out of it.  Guys, we even had 3 Dallas PD officers, 1 provided with city permits, and 2 more that AMFA 11 hired on overtime to help us out. They promply stopped traffic any time someone had to cross any of the intersections for restroom breaks provided by a charted bus for A/C and restroom breaks provided by AMFA 11 (great thinking)  not to mention the rolling giant billboard cruising in and out of Love Field for 4 hours straight. Again I just cannot praise the organizers enough, well done boys and girls well done!!!

No longer impressed...moved on to extremely impressed.  Nice work :D

Wish I could say that my coworkers would do the same

Company not serious about negotiations. The two unions dragged out the certification and lied to us about voting on it. Another delay and the company not dealing and the association only concerned about saving dues and the IAMPF. When we can actually identify the difference between the association and company as one we will get proper representation and a JCBA. We are so so screwed and have ourselves to blame for believing in the unions.

Don't forget the Seniority situation should have been rectified months ago. Negotiations came to a halt so the Seniority Committee could meet.

Yes, we are so, so screwed. But hey we will get them next time. If not then, next time after that.

ASSo. is screwing you guys by forcing this ASSo. down your throats without a vote. Allowing the co. to drag this out. And more including the next post below for AANOTOK...

Correct.  They should have been meeting PRIOR to the cert of the ASSo.  They knew from the very beginning that the ASSo. was going thru. they had plenty of time to meet and sort it out, but as we all know now there are major stumbling blocks on which way to go and it will get dragged out longer.  1AA is correct, the co. has a contract in affect until 2018, and I too think your contract will be as is until then...

Rumors have been floating around that the company offered 48.00 an hour with 5 year top out or 52.00 an hour with 10 year top out! Has anyone heard the same?

Nope, I have not heard a peep about much of anything.

Now that's a good rumor.  Too bad we can't have our negotiating committee confirm or deny.  But we obviously don't have any right to know what they're talking about.

Not gonna happen with the sheeple!
Sheeple has nothing to do with it. We had TUL looking at their own self interest, and line mechs being part of ramp locals. Then we were able to brake away from the ramp locals, until our guys got to much independent thought, which caused the TWU to close the line locals, and TUL losing the majority.

Sheeple, no. Mechanics that do not have the support of the AFL CIO and industrial unions to get our own class and craft so we can form AMT unions ONLY, we would have equal power as pilots and more power then FAs, but what we have is an organization that sees us as numbers rather then professionals.

AMTs have tried for AMFA numerous times, TUL was satisfied with what THEY had, then we had the IBT organize us only to stab us in the back, which looked like a conspiracy with AA TWU and IBT all playing their parts.

How cool would it be for us to able to sit in on negotiations, I have so little trust in either party that I think they're both lieing to me at the same time about the same subject.

How many guys think that if TUL had the numbers, we would get another lower classification of mech and be paid even less to save Tulsa jobs?

Rhetorical, we all know what has happened in the past.

We have TUL, DWH, CLT and PIT doing OH work, not to mention a bunch line Maint work being done in at least 12 more stations. I wonder what's going to happen.

Are we going to a scope of 100% line Maint 50% or are we going with 35% total outsourcing?

I do think the IAM will try to get us all on the IAM pension, which will force me to vote NO!

I'm not interested in paying for luxury vacations for IAM officials who control the pension fund.
