Another yawner of an update. No big surprise. I'm thinking Halloween is too optimistic.

During this week’s sessions, your Negotiating Committee exchanged and discussed the following articles:

Training/Travel Pay – M&R, MLS & MCT: We exchanged proposals on this article with the company.
Field Trips/Travel Pay – M&R & MLS: Your committee presented a proposal on this article to the company.
Overtime – M&R, MLS & MCT: After a thorough review and discussion, we presented a proposal on this article to the company. We are nearing completion on the procedures and rules for distribution, solicitation and grievance process for overtime bypasses

WTF No matter how much the company plans to give us ( Cause that is what we are most likely going to get and not a thing more) We will always be behind 2003 since we lost are pension and retiree medical that cost savings to the company alone, should put us at ups and fed ex wages.

No rotating days off WTF The union should run the bid and o/t  lists! These people make me sick! I see DP has not been on the road for a while!

You see, this is the part I just can't understand. I thought, at the beginning of this dog and pony show the union presented the company with a full text agreement that they had spent all those months "reconciling". But then we keep hearing time and time again they presented proposals during the sessions. Was this a line of crap? Does anyone know or want to tell exactly what happened?
Let me quote a famous Hollywood line.
"YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH"

Let the stupidity continue.

And hold parker to delta plus 7 . but i would hope you would get us more then that since we have lost so much. delta 7 will not do nothing but catch us up. also no iampf . more match in our 401k . you forced the association on us so you and pos trumka better come thru. the afl cio is not the way to go . now to the nc team get it done are get out of the way and puts some others who will get the job done. this is so ridicules . also get us lower insurance premiums are add that to the raise. we want a raise not where after paying insurance we are back where we started. get it done quit traveling all over the country. lock the doors and do not come out till you have our industry leading contract. aa AMTS are so low on the totem pole of the rest of the major airlines its time we are the highest. and get snap back if another airline gets higher in the life of our contract. oh one more thing i want my 4 percent christmas raise allso added on to the final. if that four percent is good enough for pilots and f/as its good enough for us AMTS.

Hey conehead I agree with you the updates are pathetic Tom Regan (spelling). The guy in charge of neg for the iam told the neg committee a couple of weeks ago that they were releasing to much information to the membership. Do you think that AMFA or AMP would do that to their membership?  All of this came about because I posted the TA on sick time here. This tells me that they monitor this site very closely.  If you and I think that the twu is corrupt they don't hold a candle to the iam. They are right up there with the ibt. Its sad to say that if I had a choice between the twu and the iam I would have to choose the lesser of two evils and choose the twu. The iam does not want to release any TA's because information is power and they do not want the membership in charge.

Truth?
All he does is post lies and misinformation about me and I'm suppose to just let him do it?
Why don't you guys PM each other and sort it out in private. This is one topic we don't need locked up.

Releasing to much info LOL sick of all the rumors. They need to tell us the truth! on how they are going to screw us!

Almost four years and now new CBA for AMFA at WN.
Lets be clear, you cannot even begin to compare our plight, with whats going on at SWA with AMFA.  AAs AMTs are the lowest paid in the industry, with the worst benefits package in the industry.  It has been this way since 2003.  On the other hand, SWA AMTs are the highest paid in the industry (excluding FedEx & UPS) with an excellent benefits package.  I'm not done, SWA AMTs also receive "life changing" profit sharing payouts every year.  Point is, they have the luxury of taking how ever long they need to negotiate, because they are not suffering under a horrific, life sucking contract.  Savvy?  Meanwhile, back at AA - we have apologists like you attempting to blow sunshine up our collective backsides.  This association thing was a mistake (for the dues payers) from the get go.  The lack of contract talk info being released can be attributed to the IAM leadership of the Association.

You right vort.  I too think that is why we are being as patient as we are waiting for a contract. On top of that we do have the lux of waiting until we do get the right deal and now the company knows this. Recently with our labor groups doing massive unity support for one another is another big bother for the company and now they are (at least saying) that they are really wanting to come to an agreement soon, but, we will see just how serious they really are come late July when we meet again.  Not to ding your post at all, but let's not forget Delta is also higher pay than us currently along with UPS and FedEx.  That last raise Delta received put them at 46.15 which is 5.25% higher than us.  Just as a reminder where we are at as far as the pay offers, the companies last offer discussion was putting us at DOS about 2% above current Delta top out, and at end of contract with 3% being mentioned for each year after DOS for 4 more years (5 year contract length) would put us at 52.25 (roughly) after 10 years. [that's after 5 years with no agreement and 5 years that the company wants after DOS for 10 years total]  Since we are at 43.89 currently, after 10 years we would be at (with current offer) 52.25, that's a total raise offer of 8.36 in 10 years, comes to .83 cents per year.  Some see it as a good start for our company as we were expecting numbers more like 5 or 6% DOS and 2% for years after.  Again a good starting point but needs more work done in order for anyone to consider looking at with what they are asking for their wants in these big times profit years with this year still setting increased records. One of the biggest sticklers still to be layed out and discussed is our scope language, still unknown what they are wanting here as they are changing alot of maint packages in line and intermediate maint. but leaving the heavy structures lines as is.  Hope you guys start getting more headwinds in the future, and good luck to you guys on getting back to a great contract once again, it's time for you guys and now is the time.  I hope you guys surpass Delta's pay and then some when this is all said and done...

Remember one thing, we have a contract in place until 2018. The IAM has a contract in place as well. Having a JCBA is only a convenience for the company. There is no labor unrest as far as the shareholders and our customers are concerned. This can drag on until 2018 and then some.

your a hypocrite according to you were on the nc. You negotiated the lowest contracts in the industry at us air. At least the mechanics at southwest have the best contract with a us air carrier. And I know we're all glad you are no longer on the NC . You have the gall to call someone out on there contract taking so long. At least AMFA is not caveing in.

I believe amfa is past their amendable date. We have contracts on both sides. So why bother to rush a JCBA? The company is rearranging it's operations and it involves moving work around. They have until 2018 to get it done. Until then we are all under the impression of urgency to get a JCBA. If we get one that's great but as you all can read the updates and see the pace of things can you argue my point on time frame?

I'm really surprised that two big unions like the IAM and TWU, part of the AFL-CIO, cannot get AA from delaying our contract talks. I would think the AFL-CIO would want us to be the highest paid in order to say "Look union members are the highest paid" as opposed to what is happening now, non union mechs at delta being the highest paid legacy airline, IBT ups mechs being highest paid not AFL CIO, FedEx non union paid more then us, and SWA a non AFL CIO association being higher paid then us. All this at the largest most profitable airline.

Doesn't sound like a good selling point for attracting new membership, but the union will hold back 14% of your equity if they feel the need to. No voting required on things that directly affect you.

Remember AA pays us to work on aircraft. We pay the association to represent us. I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth.by-11
But you have already agreed to those items that Directly Affect you. When you agree to become a member in an Socialist organization through the TWU Constitution and it's Bylaws.
