Now lets fast forward a few years.....2015 and most groups have received raises...Delta +7, +3, 4%, "industry comparable, ect....Now almost halfway through 2016 and the ASSociation is still at the table, now when and if they ever come to an agreement, with precedent being set should the members get Retro? If they were "forced" to concede retro givebacks then I believe they should insist on Retro Payback!
This is of course just one pissed off members opinion...

Thank you AANOTOK ! Keep up the good work getting the truth out!!
Any IAMPF in the joint contract will be DOA! Do not even let them get
a foot in the door with an option, option's tend to become mandatory.
it dose not matter why the Union should never give into conseions let the company go bk that's what happened at aa after the 2003 give backs they still went into bk. We lost twice. 700 just glad your no longer on the nc. You like giving other people's money back to company . I haven't seen to many posters here on the amt threads agree with you. You are a company man because the Iam/twu are company unions. So here's a quarter call someone who cares .700UW said:Still not gong to post why?
Tell the whole story.

Personally I don't understand why the split shift CS is an issue, as long as there's a mech covering the shift, the FAs have 27k bidding every month and then a storm hits and screws it all up, same for the pilots, there schedules are 10x more difficult then ours but yet they manage. Hopefully the maintenance station managers can either manage their resources or delegate that responsibility to someone who can. I've noticed as a steward that most grieveness's have been for OT, but instead of holding the front office people responsible they deny grieveness's and change rules to make it easy for front office people.
From what I can tell there is nothing in our contract now that says we get to bid work area by seniority just shift. From what my friends in Miami tell me, they did away with vacation relief and put extra man power at hangar and from there are assigned at the beginning of shift, everyday. They say they usually sit around for a half hour then told where they are going to work, then have to gather tools lunch box etc and head to the terminal or where ever, it's usually a wasted 45 min of man power EVERYDAY for EVERY mech. Miami is going back to a vacation relief bid next bid, but in the mean time plenty of 6 and 7 days on day shift for the summer.
Can you imagine if EVERY mech had to wait to be told where to work everyday. I for one would not be happy carrying my tools back to hangar everyday. I don't think we should give anything up financially to get work area guarantees in contract, that's basic manning that only helps management. It would only take a short time before management would realize its to their benefit. Let's not be dopes like the A scalers who gave up money for the ability to lease uniforms. You know the same guys who voted in this crap contract, took the money and left company, then turned around and sued us for our equity.
Once again. hypocrite!700UW said:You do realize your off topic?
