We were told by the TWU that we obligated to go ahead with the ASS. for two
Years, that two years is up in Aug. what are the chances of scrapping it and giving
Us the opportunity to decide who we want representing us. At least make sure we
Keep hammering our LAA negotiating committee that we want nothing to do with the
IAMPF in any way, I do not want to to even have an option language for LAA members
because of what happened to the contractual profit sharing (remember the union owns the contract) what is to say they can't just change the the option to shall. Yep you can say
that I'am jaded and overly suspicious of our international, but blame them not me

you have a great reason to be suspicious of the Intl . Let's see you will be able to vote on the association. Another Intl lie . There mentality that they know what's best for us. They cannot be voted out are recalled . There not elected by the members. Your right there can not be any language on the iampf are we're going to get hosed before the ink is dried . So count me in as another jaded and overly suspicious of the Intl

Boy if all you say is true the DOL would be all over them.

File a complaint.

I agree that is a nice thought but I will believe it when I see it. The bottom line is neither one of them are in charge and the same goes on the iam side. The bottom line is that the people in charge are the same people that lied to us about a vote, assists the company in violating the contract in order violate members seniority and created this abortion called an association (Buffenbarger, Little and now Lombardo). You played this game long enough to know that we will not have any control until we get out of this abortion. These two so called unions have been bought and paid for years and they have nobodies best interest but there own. The new American is going to be a mirror image of what USAIR is now. We will PROBABLY get close to where we should have been if we would not have taken the concessions in 2003. It will have absolutely nothing to do with the so called power or negotiating ability of this abortion. These are unprecedented economic times and they will not take advantage of them but they will take credit for whatever Delta gave their employees. That is proven by the offer of Delta/United +3 or +7. I will not expect anything more than the +3. One thing that you can bank on is you will be offered the iam pension and if anyone falls that Ponzi scheme they will be short $2 an hour out of your paycheck to fund your own pension and allow the iam to tell you when or if you can get another job (God forbid you have to because of a family illness) or they will stop paying you your pension that you funded yourself.
Great post, you hit the reality of the situation we are in. I expect us not to get anything more then what Delta GAVE to its employees without paying Union n dues or TAKING 14% of our equity.

I'm expecting the association to push for IAM pension fund, and we will probably have to jump through hoops to opt out of it.

Just to throw fuel on to the fire, even at overtime pay rates, we still don't make as much a FA.

There are two items that have two year durations.
1) The NMB two year ban from any card drive.
2) The Association two year negotiations chair.

The NMB ban I believed went into affect when the Association was officially certified. My guess sometime in May 2015.

The Association two year negotiations chair I do not know. Was it the same time the NMB declared the Association our representation?
Was there a letter from the Association stating when it would start the two year clock? Someone I'm sure has this info. Any current AA AMT please enlighten us.

It is two years from the date of the filing at the NMB.  So that would be this August.

That goes for me too. Now let's see if Peterson and company will do the right thing and get things moving and never ever mention the IAMPF to the TWU members. After being screwed by the infamous question #5 I kind of wonder if the Association will really follow their own rules and guidlines.

You do know FAs hourly pay cannot be compared to regular hourly employees without taking into account all the time they spend on their trips while not flying. My wife likes to kid me about once in awhile as she is an FA.

Thank you for pointing that out, the FAs have a tough job and aren't appreciated for the most part by the pax, they have short lay overs, no food, so they have to eat when able, I've actually seen a capt hold up boarding so his crew can get something to eat, it was the third leg of the day with short gate times. Then there are the days with bad weather, that's a whole other cluster puck.

Our pay their pay, apples to oranges. I just let my bitterness build up too much, sorry fellas.

I hope everybody can still remember what has been lost over the years.
This joint thing is just another way to side track what has been lost, given up and taken.
Since 03' we are $450,000 in the hole.

Another way of saying we all took it in the hole and no light at the end of the hole.

I don't dispute you and I know the total loss is in that neighborhood,  but am curious as to the metrics you used to get there.  You see, I used to have a good handle on it but am now beginning to lose count, so, could you help a brother out?
