Can anyone confirm the parameters of the T/A'd Sick Policy?

10 Sick days a year and 20 ID days?

Yes 10 days at full pay. A concession from 2003. In 2003 we had 12 days. Bank of 1600 hours up from 1500 hours. Not a concession(SHOCK). Going from 10 days IOD time to 20 days IOD time. A concession from 2003 at that time we had 80 days. Thanks to the iam we have a 66% concession rate on this article. If you need more info about negotiations talk to the local 591 rep he will give you whatever info that you need about negotiations.

I have been saying for years, there should be a separate contracts for line and OH. They're two different jobs.

keep driving that wedge.

American Airlines management thanks you.

Then you will never get a concessionary contract to ever pass again. Haven't you learned anything about the TWU and industrial unionism yet?

Same class and craft, won't be separate contracts.
Gee thanks we didn't know that. I'll pass it along the next time someone suggests we ask for separate contracts.

I am not saying it cannot be contractual, but perhaps the TWU's LOA ( Letters of Ageement ) that in the past modified certain areas.

And once again I will respectfully say you are wrong, sure you feel the pressure of missing a gate
trying to fix a broken jet (same job different pressure). I loved working the line in the Air Force, and
believe me troubleshooting a 737 or any modern jet is a walk in the park compared to an F111.
Todays modern jets are fixed on the line with 75% information and 25% skill IMO, go check out what a skilled
sheet metal guy can do! that is 75% skill and 25% information. Of course every line station is full
of top notch skilled professionals you guys have my total respect, but you will never convince me
it is a different job to me just a different learned skill set.
Having  different CS rules in a contract is no big deal, line rules & OH rules, it is just that easy. And
incorporating COLA premiums for high cost stations and holiday -weekend & mids premiums can
just as easily be incorporated into the same contract. These items I believe are needed and are the
first steps towards a unified membership, but please do not tell me they are different jobs and deserve
different contracts (my A&P is the same license and comes with the same responsibilities as yours)

your right we need a union that will stop playing line and overhaul against each other. And come out with a contract with CS rules that can work in the overhaul . And the CS rules that the line needs . The same with all the other stuf that are different between the two. But in my 31 years all I ever seen is the Tulsa local president and the line local presidents fight. Instead of working together for us. They just keep the infighting up. Your right we all worked hard for our a&p license . So we need to get a industry leading contract that works for both the line and overhaul . If the association can not get it done we need to show them the road out of town. Along with the iam and twu. And get a union we control not them controlling us

There's a new sheriff in the Tulsa local and he is working with Peterson.  Danker agrees that we need to end the line vs overhaul battles.  The " I'll vote yes for the 5 and 5" and the "I'll vote yes to get my buyout" are long gone.

A little too late for that. Now we have the IAM as the new Tulsa. The Association as the new Tulsa. I guess Tulsa has seen the way things are heading and now wants to unite with the AA line. Sorry the AA line guys can not save Tulsa or ourselves. The Association is in full control and you can see by the pace of the negotiations we are in for a long haul of more concessions.

I agree that is a nice thought but I will believe it when I see it. The bottom line is neither one of them are in charge and the same goes on the iam side. The bottom line is that the people in charge are the same people that lied to us about a vote, assists the company in violating the contract in order violate members seniority and created this abortion called an association (Buffenbarger, Little and now Lombardo). You played this game long enough to know that we will not have any control until we get out of this abortion. These two so called unions have been bought and paid for years and they have nobodies best interest but there own. The new American is going to be a mirror image of what USAIR is now. We will PROBABLY get close to where we should have been if we would not have taken the concessions in 2003. It will have absolutely nothing to do with the so called power or negotiating ability of this abortion. These are unprecedented economic times and they will not take advantage of them but they will take credit for whatever Delta gave their employees. That is proven by the offer of Delta/United +3 or +7. I will not expect anything more than the +3. One thing that you can bank on is you will be offered the iam pension and if anyone falls that Ponzi scheme they will be short $2 an hour out of your paycheck to fund your own pension and allow the iam to tell you when or if you can get another job (God forbid you have to because of a family illness) or they will stop paying you your pension that you funded yourself.

HAD ENOUGH YET?
Depends who or which group of people you ask. Too bad there are still many that just keep saying give the Association a chance. History repeats itself so another chance is almost a guarantee.
