JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA AMTS

Congratulations Delta 1.5 billion in profit sharing! Very impressive.
We get 341 million. Your position. As the number one airline is safe and secure!

We need a card drive. We have more twu members. We all agree the association was a big mistake. No say from the NMB certification. No JCBA. We will always be two unions and never be one as long as the association exists. We need a TWU card drive. Screw this ASSOCIATION!

After a year of negotiations it's pretty clear there is no intention of getting a new cba. Between the company and the association Its a farce designed to keep us hanging as long as possible. As long as the numbers look good on paper it's not going to happen.

We won't see the likes of a new CBA until after the amendable date of the current one has passed, Sept 2018. No reason for one sooner as the company and union are both getting what they need.

Well, where are the two grand poobas from the association? They thump their chests and send out an announcement that they are getting involved, then nothing! I will say this for them, they are consistent if nothing else. I whole heartedly agree with other posters. Why isn`t the "leadership" of this association showing up at these townhall meetings? This last one was well publicized. No excuse for the association to not be there putting Mr.Parker on the spot, in front of an audience. I am and have been willing to give Parker the benefit of the doubt. That said, he is losing credibility daily. He has backed off the Delta+7%. His negotiators are obviously stalling, which one must assume is at his direction.

Apparently now he is denying he ever promised Delta plus 7.

That would be plain dumb on the company's part. He and Isom are on video and in print boasting about how they want to make us the top paid with many references to Delta +7. I started working on compiling these last night and will continue to do so. I would urge our fellow AMT, MLS and FSC to do the same. Post them as you find them to remind all parties of what has been committed to. We must hold these people, company and union, accountable as much as possible. I`ve done the math on Delta +7 and +3. I expect the company and union to meet or beat these numbers. Anything less is wholly unacceptable. I`m not naieve though. I will not be surprised to see either party crawfish out of what has been committed to. Kind of like the infamous "question 5", "Will there be a vote on the association?" .We all know how that turned out. Dig for those Delta+7 references guys and post them!!

I'm thinking "the association" is feeling the pressure to get a good contract done quickly, who will pay union dues to an association that we didn't vote for, that has not improved our standard of living over a non union shop, and can only hope to match what the non union shop has.

Too bad the IAM didn't want to take a vote, they probably would have won, after two bankruptcy's their contract was still better then the TWU's. It must suck to be an international union official, a lot of what they have to deal with is because of the company they have to negotiate with, but forming the Association was ALL the unions doing, the IAM TWU and AFL-CIO.

Just think, they have one union representing the mechs from the largest airline, then use that to organize other airline mechs, but no they got greedy and have to have two unions representing us, same goes for the FSC's, individual unions representing each work group, instead of this behemoth which is too big to adequately represent all the groups.
