It's time to sign a AMFA card

Because he has to fund it, its the law and it is in the CBA.

This isnt bankruptcy and the Parker was in charge when the IAMNPF was negotiated for M&R.

Dont let the facts get in your way.

Is that too hard to understand?

That is the TWU not the IAM, and your members voted for the concessions.
Well let me add that our pensions at AA are frozen and still underfunded. AA still has to keep contributing up to the frozen date. Not to mention other administrative costs.
You think that the IAM pension will go a different path? AA already set a presidence with the three unions on the property. IAM will just be a follow the path to misery for the employees. Everything has to be streamlined to get a single carrier status at some point down the road.

With a potential filing in August I can not see AA engageing in any serious negotiations until after August with the IAM. BTW: I heard that USAir guys are signing AMFA cards as well. We will see how things transpire come August.

i think very very few usairways mx will sign cards given the importance of negotiations.

What are the MX numbers between sAA & sUS?

If AMFA does file in August on AA, and wins, does sUS MX have enough members to trigger an election when the groups combine?

Negotiations?  Really?    based on history, There will be no negotiations unless the IAM  concedes to give backs and The company and the NMB will stall negotiations till section 6 openers.

FYI:  Changing representation before, or even during negotiations has no effect on negotiations other than different people will across the table.

Do you not understand the difference between a single employer plan vs a multi-employer plan?

Better go educate yourself on the differences and then maybe you will get it.

The IAM plan isnt solely dependent on US Airways, and the IAMNPF is part of ALL three IAM CBAs at US and is in no danger of going away, it is 105% funded.

Do you understand the IAM and US are ALREADY in Section 6 negotiations?

And you were a union leader and you dont even know the JCBA negotiations are not Section 6?

And the IAM will not agree to JCBA talks until Section 6 negotiations are complete.

Benefits are being cut and the multiplier is a joke that is impossible to live off otherwise it's great.

Josh

Mechanic and Related are not having future accruals cut, nor are the Maintenance Training Specialists.

Keep up the lies and misinformation.

Gerry is telling you the wrong information again.

Why do you constantly post lies?

Fleet is having benefits cut but who's to say M&R isn't next? This is the IAM after all, their leadership will side with management and sell concessions to the membership like at Boeing, Caterpillar, and UAL.

+1, the pension has a new second tier multiplier and a reduced payout. Need to be vested at least 5 years. Many of us will retire within 10 years so what good is the pension if it will hardly pay your electric bill? Parker is continuing down the same path that was started in 2003 at American. The name may have NEW in front of American for marketing purposes but it is still the same ole American Airlines.

Nope, M&R and MTS have only been in the IAMNPF since 2008, Fleet has been in it since 2002 I believe, they are under different parameters and conditions than Fleet.

So keep lying josh, you are getting to the pathological point.

And nothing has been done to fleet's accrued benefits and they are in negotiations, so they are negotiating in regards to the pension to get future benefits increased for fleet.

Keep up the lies and misinformation, I will call you out EVERY single time.

So call up Gerry and ask him for the right information so you dont look like a fool.

Benefits for M&R are NOT being cut.

At the IAMNPF vested every single mechanic and related on day one of US M&R being in the plan, no one had to wait five years, it was waived.

Dont let the facts get in your way.

You have no idea about what you are talking about again.

Once again, do you understand the Parker was the CEO when US agreed to the IAMNPF?

Do you realize the difference between a single employer plan vs a multi-employer plan?

Its quite apparent you dont.

Hey 700 enlighten us on the pension Buffy, Roach, Sito and O'Driscoll live off. They reward themselves richly while the membership gets a pathetic multiplier that is unlivable. It's clear IAMNPF is about keeping people in the union to maintain dues flow. Because if a work group leaves the IAM they leave IAMNPF.
