It's lonely at the top?

remember I was told I should be classy while addressing those who don't want to critically think but are very quick at whipping out denigrating comments at others.

again, we have a conversation about me instead of the topic.

Is it any reason why I keep showing up?

Oh, I get it now. You have the ability to admit when you're wrong; you just never do it, because you're never wrong...
Yeah, what was I thinking? You obviously don't have a problem.

how many hours ago was it when I said that DL intended to challenge the DOJ's process of divestiture?

Now we see that DL isn't about ready to lie down and accept WN's payoff of the DOJ that was supposed to involve a carve up of AÁ/US assets the way all the parties thought they agreed.

Problem is that I suffer from the same problem as DL... both of us aren't willing to accept the status quo and the backroom deals that everyone else seemed to accept would be the way this merger would be settled.

In fact, I am right about my bet that AA would not merge and I am right that DL would challenge the process...

your problem is that you can't grasp that I really do understand the industry and that DL really does intend to compete aggressively in an industry which is just changing control from one entity that can't compete to another.
The DOJ doesn't seem really to be interested in allowing true competition - at the request of WN and AA/US, neither of which can't compete against DL. If they could, they wouldn't be hiding behind the DOJ.

which I presume means that you have no intellectual capacity to argue that the DOJ, AA/US, and WN all agreed to a carveup of the industry which DL didn't decide on... and which will be shown to be illegal and as anticompetitive if not more so than what AA/US were going to do.

I'll step away to pop a few more bags of popcorn.

The DOJ is not returning the DCA slots Delta gave up to get the LGA slots.

I'll send you a box of kleenex.

yeah, you keep saying that.

Problem is that AA/US already said that many cities will lose service to DCA.  A city shouldn't have to particpate in a lawsuit to ensure that its economic interests are protected.  That is what the DOJ was supposed to do... but failed miserably at.

You also seem to gloss over that AA/US operate over 150 flights/day on RJs today... and only have to maintain 75 of those flights under the deal.

They can use the rest to dump capacity into markets in which the LFCs enter and operate 20 flights/day (+/-) as AA has done in some markets and US does to/from NE markets.

DL is challenging the DOJ's decision on the basis of its legality.

If that isn't clear to you by now, the pictures will be in the funny papers on Sunday.

Do you think an entity that runs guns into Mexico cares about legality?
