No worries, proud FA...almost all HP pilots I ride the van with will pause to make sure the gals do not trip on the way out. Between the two, there is most always at least one whose mama raised him right 
But you can see by what mitsubishisam says (maybe he's 757? I don't work that a/c) apparently some pilots are afraid to help out.
Goes back to what CLTBWIDATSYR says about CRM suffering w/lack of keeping crews together.
We have lots of younger guys, too.
Back in FEB, I was the oldest person on the entire crew, and I'm 38!
