IBT vs IAM

Lets see how many overhauls did the ibt contract bring in-house?

0

The ibt contracts allows scheduled overnight mtc done by vendors, not ibt hp amts.

The IAM contract does not.

How many jobs did the Teamsters lose since the contract?

ZERO!!

Has the Teamsters allowed outsourcing since they have been at AWA.

NO!!

Has the IAM allowed outsourcing in the last...say....two years and have thousands of members lost their jobs at US Airways??

YES!! YES!!

Can't you come up with something new 7? The same old garbage. :)

Your contract allows unlimited outsourcing of heavy maintenance, that is why you have not lost anything.

And what about the mtc shutdown in BWI?

Well it seems from reading a lot of the post on here, and me being a newbie , that this 700UW guy is slightly uninformed... Does he know about the sick day greivance we had to file and it was won by us , at a cost of a few million dollars to the company....
How can any of us be held responsible for the " Franke Factor" We were here when 500 techs were fired overnight , without any warning, Franke thought it would be the end of a union drive, but he was wrong. Not to mention the cleaners and caterers that were fired!!!!

700UW, are you saying that every IAM contract in the AMT industry has complete 100 per cent in house MX???7

See I know Albert.

No Credibility.

And I never said that about the IAM, just that the ibt present or former carriers have the highest % of outsourcing of heavy.

Do you know about the HMO Grievance that we won that cost US Millions?

Same for the 401k grievance we won, millions.

We won our Attendance Control Grievance arbitration also, and it took a chapter 11 filing to have US squirm out of paying the airbus arbitration.

There was a second vote for the one contract, that we all know. The votes for and against also changed. Some may have prefered to leave it a no vote and the company could have went under, but it went the other way and we are still here to debate it and upcoming elections. Many of the no voters would have sooner seen the company go under than to accept the contract, to me that is a sad state of affairs.

We do still have Heavy Checks, not all but we did manage to keep some. All of the heavy checks could have been gone as with America West. The loss of holidays, vacation and the 1/2 pay for some sick days sucks, while the bonuses still flow for some. With only so much money to go around I do not see the IBT bringing in Heavy Checks under their current negotiations, true they could but we already have them under the IAM, for now I'll go with a given.

I don't know Albert. But......you're the only one so far, that has claimed he has no credibility.

No, I don't know about the grievances. That's in the past and a good indication of the volatility that was and will probably continue in this industry. I do not recall any issues of that nature during my tenure so........hopefully it will continue on that path. Less volatile in a volatile industry and time.

You can't deny that outsourcing has become the norm all over, can you? It's sad but it's a fact.

What's this 7.....work for Timco? :)

Gee do I have to tell you again?

Why do you spread misinformation?

Those Airbii were lease returned to the lessor and ferried out to GYR for storage.

They are not US Airways planes, there were the leaseholders as the leases were abrogated in the first Chapter 11 case.

Don't let the facts get in your way.
