Re-read above Kev. I said after I asked them to leave once and they would continue to push then they are trespassing.  When there appears to be an uninvited visitor and they do not listen the first time I will control what happens after that.  I don't care who you are.  If I don't answer the door I might miss the PCH 10 mil per year knock, wouldn't wanna miss that one lol...

You've never struck me as someone that needed a 30.06 to control the conversation. If I can think of a whole host of non-lethal solutions to someone not leaving your doorstep, surely you can too...

Of course, all of this is based on the absurd premise that organizers are showing up and refusing to leave.

except neither he or other people on here know how to engage in spirited conversation either on or off the board about controversial topics without trying to use their positions of power to accomplish their ends.

and when one side decides to reach for their gun - or any other symbol of power which they want to display, whether fired or not, it is not surprising that others do the same thing

the goal is spirited, open and honest discussion on multiple levels.

Most of the time, since i always open carry when legally able, people don't mess with me
 
but i have heard stories of extremest that just won't go away. You shut the door they start knocking again kind of thing, 
that happens i take it as a threat to my safety......

I'll just let the "This is not a gun-free zone" sign, in my yard, do the talking, since the "No Solicitation" sign no longer seems to grab their attention!
