IAM Pention Fund/Really How Good Is It? in $$.$$

Guess that'll have to negotiated..........depending on the representing union. Kind of like the contract talks..........none taking place until representation has been determined.

Curious, how did FS keep it but M&R lose it? Or did M&R not have it before.
AMT's never had it.

Because the IAM pension is more valuable then the 401K and it won't cost you any money out of your pocket and it is a multi-employer plan that is in no danger of being terminated.

Interesting opinion. But a pension that is no danger of being terminated?? That's a pretty bold belief nowadays.

Are you going to poison every single thread?

Seek some help for your OCD.

TO AW:
The IAMNPF is overfunded by such a percentage they are going to have to increase the benefits.

Im not interested at all in being part of the iam pension plan. Most amt's i work with feel the same way.

The portability of the 401k, and iam pesion plan "you cant collect if you work rule" will probably get this shot down.
The iam pension plan is only portable if you go to another iam represented job.
Plus the fact that the iam is trying to shove this down m&r throats. I never saw any type of document asking m&r if they would be interested in this plan. This in my opinion is just another way for the iam to get their hands on more money.

If the iam thinks its such a great deal why not give each m&r employee the option to join the iam plan, or stay with the 401k?????

If it's such a great deal why not send us some info on it. Why not give us some informational meetings.

Once the company and the IAM get serious on a transition agreement information will be provided.

At CO the IAM F/As just got the IAMNPF and there is a specific web page created on the plan's website for them to check on anything and everything they need.

Pension reps were at their ratification meetings and follow up visits will occur.

If you are interested in finding out basic info go here:

The IAMNPF is not a company controlled pension plan. It is not at risk of being terminated like US did in court.
You Still Do Not Answer the Basic Question's & Statement's.
How much Can WE AMT's Expect to live on from the IAM pension Fund? I do not know about YOU Mr 700,& Dell DUDE,I can not Live on $75.00/month that would not fill my Gas Tank in my Car for a month. MWW I am Also Tired of your LONG posts they BORE ME. MWW

Remeber IAM = Intenational Association of Muggers![/b

Funny these "Muggers" are the reason I receive a monthly check for the rest of my life and hopefully that will be at least another 30 years. Like 700 states, you are in need of help but then again your hatred will cause your demise which will relieve the boards of the arsenic you contribute.

Not everyone has your great wisdom needing no ones help, especially a unions help. Your hatred will cause your gizzard to rot while the IAM will still be around when you're pushing up daisies.

The Multiplier would not be $75 a month and it is more then you get now.

If they bore you then don't read them, very simple solution.

700 you and the IAM's constant BS about the IAM pension is becoming really annoying at least to me. There are many assumptions that go into these monthly amounts and many of us are aware of the incompetence of the plan, together with Jurassiclike restrictability. Some of these assumptions will be broken down for all to see once the election is ordered. The truth is that the IAM pension plan on US property has one of the worst contribution rates ever seen. The IAM pension plan at United is somewhat better though.

401k have much more advantage than the restrictions on the IAM pension plan where even payment suspensions can happen.
401k's were designed because they offer choice, and less restrictions later in life. Even in the present day, the 401k helped with college bills, buying a house, etc. The Oldtime pensions aren't too atttactive, and at best take us back to the dark ages.
Unfortunately, the IAM being the powerful financial institution it is [not kiddn] it's just another way to dig into workers pockets. FWIW: I think the IAM's members would be more happy if the IAM finally sent the members a copy of their contract instead of these monthly credit card offers. Everyone knows that the IAM got out of the collective bargaining business a decade ago and reinvented itself as a financial institution.

At any rate, I find it disturbing that you continue to dress up one of the biggest concessions fleet service took. The IAM pension was a $47 million dollar concession that your company loved to participate in. That's right, the bottom line is that the IAM pension was worth MILLIONS less than the 401k. You can talk all you want buddy, but the scoreboard shows the truth!

Bring back the 401k please! Your Customer service agents have almost twice the retirement plan that your small little IAM plan has.

regards,

Then Could You Give The People OUT there on this IAM promoted WEB Site An EXAMPLE of What We AMT's Could Expect to Reep Per/Month.You NEVER can Reach us if you Do not Talk in LAYMAN'S language. What Could I Expect to Get a month From the IAM PENSION FUND, for RETIREMENT???????
PLEASE NO RHETORIC, JUST ANSWERS!!!
MWW

All the IAM M&R members have a copy of the contract.

So what job did the twu promise you or did they do like the ibt and tell you no thanks?

The CSA at us have NO RETIREMENT PLAN funded solely by the company, a 401k is your own money with a tiny match by the company in some cases.

Don't let the facts get in your way timmy.

To MWW,

When the time comes it will all be set up.
