Management at the Phoenix hanger was going nuts trying to figure out how to have the truck removed, seems like the sandcastle didn't like the message. I hope that there is enough NO votes to tell Dougie where to put his "0" cost contract TA.

To bad it don't apply to union dues.
What I can see or bet on You don't have a FAA license, one of three- Airframe -Power plant -FCC, I bet if this T/A goes you get a nice jump in $$$$$$$$ and look you did not even have to go to school or drop out of school to make what a dedicated man A/P-FCC did or you miss the the class on common sense. Let me start with this,,,, If you go to pat a dog and it bites you on monday and you try to pat the same dog on tuesday what do you think will happen?????????????????? .......Same dogs same BS so what are you being lined up for????? The next MERGER!!!!!??????????????????? HAVE A NICE IBT DAY

Correct me if I am wrong. None of the AWA mechanics have over 40 sick days in there bank.

Effective OEI amend CBA as follows:
 The first three (3) consecutive days of each sick occurrence are paid at fifty-percent (50%)
of the employee’s scheduled hours and decremented at fifty-percent (50%) from the
employee’s available sick bank hours.
 Employees who have one hundred (100) or more days in their sick leave bank on the date of
the sick leave occurrence will be paid one hundred percent (100%) and one hundred percent
(100%) deducted from their sick bank.

What does this mean? It will be 6 years before an AWA mechanic sees full pay for a sick day.

This truck has Phx all up in arms! this is great!!!!
parked in the parking lot next to the hanger in Phx.

I have heard that EAST coast, except PHL, can only see the $$$$ signs. $12 to $15 dollars per hour won't happen because some think that making "auto dealership wages" is a good thing!! Still will vote NO until real money is offered. VOTE NO.

WE also lose 2 Bank days this time around but we as east and west will get them back in the next 2 years IF things don't change????????????????? LOL 2 YEARS!!!!!! WE LOSE! 3% PER YEAR IF THINGS DON'T CHANGE!!!!!!!LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! 10% PAY RAISE!!!!!!NOW WHAT DOES THE COMPANY DO, NOT JUST US AIR BUT ALL COMPANY'S DO WHEN THEY GO BK OOOOOO THATS RIGHT CUT THE WORKING FORCE 10% OOOOOOO (DO THE MATH) HAVE A NICE DAY. P.S. ADD IN A MERGER AND THE HOLD (AKA) PAY FREEZE TILL THEY KNOW WITCH UNION THEY HAVE TO DEAL WITH??????????????? DP MIGHT DRINK BUT HE IS NOT STUPID!!!!!!! LOOK WHAT HE HAS DONE TO YOUR WEST BROTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the present time you can't bank more than 320 hours of sick time period.

Effective OEI amend CBA as follows:
 The first three (3) consecutive days of each sick occurrence are paid at fifty-percent (50%)of the employee’s scheduled hours and decremented at fifty-percent (50%) from the
employee’s available sick bank hours.

That is correct; only the fourth day would be full pay.

 Employees who have one hundred (100) or more days in their sick leave bank on the date of the sick leave occurrence will be paid one hundred percent (100%) and one hundred percent(100%) deducted from their sick bank.
As proposed in the T/A; sounds like a penalty in my book.

What does this mean? It will be 6 years before an AWA mechanic sees full pay for a sick day.
It means the company is going to make money off the fact that you are sick and never had the opportunity to accure 100 days of sick time. It makes no difference to the company that you may have had 20 years without a sick day.

VOTE NO!

East here looking past the $$$$ signs.

Voting NO till the COC stays, iam travel is removed, iam pension is removed or made optional (ITS MY 5% THEY ARE TAKING), EVERYONE gets another weeks vacation NOW, holidays back up to 10 NOW, and shift differential moves into the 21st century ie: % of base pay, more line stations added to the "named" station list, and ALL airbus narrow body work done in house with at least the minimum proposed head count.

I don't think that we will ever see a "real money offer" if this TA is shot down or passed.

I think your correct.
I dont think Boston will pass this.

The main point of this post is to tell everyone east and west,if you have not read the current IAM contract that they want you to vote yes on VOTE NO.Not only does the T/A suck, the contract they are asking all you west guys to sign up under sucks.
If the CIC does not work for us why isnt the union pushing to change it so it does, instead of helping the company get it tossed out.

JMHO,a T/A should only bring the 2 work groups together under one contract. Not extend one.Bring us all together so in 2009 we can stand as one force.Make the time until we reopen sec 6 profitable to us.Then is 2009 you will have a strong work force. This should be the unions goal.No more no less.

VOTE NO and send the message.I ask all of you in these times of need stand up and be men, take a chance, rise together. The destruction of
our jobs and our futures depend on this.I had a coversation with one of my fellow workers who said he thought the west would vote this in.He said be cause of the money.I told him, what money? do you know what its going to cost them,do you know what they are giving up.He replied no I dont.I told him you were giving up paid medical,he said holy crap I didnt know that.I said have you read the T/A he said no,Have you read there contract he said no.I said do you understand our contract.......well that took some time but 2 of us showed him grave evils in it.He said I didnt know that.

I think it goes the same for both sides.Remember how long it took to even get this POS in print.

And if you have noticed those that have apposed what I have written in this thread have skirted around most of what I have said. And constantly tried to change the subject.Because they know Im telling the truth but somehow must point out the few errors Ive made.Well if there comments only reflect my errors go back and read how much they didnt comment on ( they did not dent the truths )

This may get a fish in my mail box,but I wiil say this union is dirty, this company is dirty. In the way they deal with us.I was very open with the ramp guys when they were going trough there t/a vote. All you ramp guys can testify my position has not changed,I stand today ready to take the same position you did,the same one I asked of you.No more no less.

The ramp has showed solidarity, lets do the same.United we stand against those who would control our future. The spirit of true unionism is at risk here.Lots of people were watching the ramp, now as one of my for fathers said NOW THERE EYES ARE ON YOU.

10 hrs till poles open on the EAST....make em feel it.And a good morning to you Doug.

When two different managers at different times tell me that the union has promised this will pass it kinda makes me wonder. I am voting NO, I agree there will not be a better offer, during a transition agreement. That is why I am voting NO - Bring on section 6 in "09". I can stay right where I am till then. This is Dougies "0" cost contract and I pray that after the way he has dealt with all of us in this merger that he does not have the satisfaction of this passing, if it does it will be just the begining of "0" cost contracts. What will the union get for selling us the next one in 2012? First class seating? At what cost to our benefits will the next pay raise be? How many stations will be left out of the 15 line stations and PIT, and how many of our brothers will be trying to feed thier families off unemployment?? There has come a time for the men and women of this work group to draw the line in the sand and take a stand. Tomorrow is that time. I wish I could say I felt we were united in our battle but tomorrow will tell the tale. We are the union, it will not be the union that sells us out tomorrow but your coworkers. Time to dig in and say NO, Time to Stand United. Remember it is not the union that sells us out but outselves. We have the power to say this is not acceptable, exercise it in the polls.
