There might be a very few techs in phx that will vote yes if they vote at all due to the iam making this so inconvenient but the non licenced guys all they see is the big $$$ signs they don't care that they loose all the benefits. VOTE NO will gain nothing!!!! I would think that selling out the baby buses would of got something oh that's right they got positive space passes.

When two different managers at different times tell me that the union has promised this will pass it kinda makes me wonder. I am voting NO, I agree there will not be a better offer, during a transition agreement. That is why I am voting NO - Bring on section 6 in "09". I can stay right where I am till then. This is Dougies "0" cost contract and I pray that after the way he has dealt with all of us in this merger that he does not have the satisfaction of this passing, if it does it will be just the begining of "0" cost contracts. What will the union get for selling us the next one in 2012? First class seating? At what cost to our benefits will the next pay raise be? How many stations will be left out of the 15 line stations and PIT, and how many of our brothers will be trying to feed thier families off unemployment?? There has come a time for the men and women of this work group to draw the line in the sand and take a stand. Tomorrow is that time. I wish I could say I felt we were united in our battle but tomorrow will tell the tale. We are the union, it will not be the union that sells us out tomorrow but your coworkers. Time to dig in and say NO, Time to Stand United. Remember it is not the union that sells us out but outselves. We have the power to say this is not acceptable, exercise it in the polls.

What are you new ? section 6 in " 09 " means section 6 in 10,11,12,13. Trust me when I say the company will make sure it is past 2012. This will be your next one no matter what. If your in PHX or one of the protected stations the company is saying that if we are still in business and still Us Aiways you will be making 34 an hour plus some change on mids in 2013 when it tops out. Either take the higher pay if your not topped out or take the better benefits and vote no on the west if you are topped out. All the guys in the east that that have a ton of sick time with protected station status should be voting yes. They say no but they will vote yes. Give up on the " Will get them in 09 dream" OK lay it on me.

I am not new by any means but I am willing to take a stand instead of taking the easy way. East or West should not have to give anymore to fund Dougie's multimillion dollar bonuses. Vote NO and take a stand.

I have a failure to under stand something here. Will my brothers on each side help me out here.Maybe we can sort through thin mess and come up with a reasonable Idea how we should vote on this POS T/A.

1.First Im still under the impression that the west side AWA has a legal binding contract that was negotiated for the by the IBT.This contract is still in full force and effect as of today. They have a legal right to negotiate under section 6 for improvements at this moment,I understand they were in negations at the time of the merger. They are now being represented by the IAM who has the legal and morel obligation to assist these men and women in there continued interest in completing these negotiations.

2.Second the USAIRWAYS mechs and related has an agreement that is amendable in 2009,and this POS cant get anything but better.Voted on with a threat that if you dont vote yes you will have no contract at all.It still impresses me how this company can continue day after day breaking rules that under anything except the NRLA would be illegal in this country.( not my words ) thats from the Wage and Hour division of this country themselves.Yes there are parts of this contract that are illegal by law.But since they were ratified by the members they are ok under the RLA your union allowed this to happen. And nothing in this pos T/A is changing that.

3.Third what this ta is doing is,striping the west of there rights to a better agreement its taking away what the IBT and the members fought to get so hard.Just go read what they will loose in this.

4.Fourth its extending a POS contract that was ratified by a group under duress, yes a threat that if this doesnt pass you will have no contract. Thats not representation thats coercion. The union is playing quid pro crow...lol with the company.

This T/A will bring 2 groups of beaten and down trodden people under a POS give back contract that will at the same time take away any protection in case of a merger.

So ponder these thoughts among yourselves and ask,am I tired of hearing everyday that the sky is falling we had better do this.Or do you want to be true respected professionals again and tell the lazy union members who havnt picked up a wrench in 20 yrs working for the IAM and the Bean counting company they sleep with pound sand.

Its time to take back our own self respect....

WHAT?? Read Article 3, Status of Agreement, lines 20 thru 26 page 6. I'm on the east, "with a ton of sick time" and can't figure out why I should vote yes. Give up my company match for a pi$$ poor pension? Give up 50% of the small bus work? 6 more years until I get another week of vacation? Sorry no sale here "rebootbus". Trust you? I trust that your willing to give in and not really understand what you're voting on. My NO vote cancels your Yes vote. In your post you wrote, "If your in PHX...." Try, "If you are in PHX" or "If YOU'RE in PHX...."

Allstrike: I have this one covered, 1 NO vote deletes 1 Yes vote. PRESS-ON!!

read the t/a show me where it states you are giving up 50% of the baby bus work?

right now more than 50% of the heavy is outsourced, this T/A brings work back in-house and still protects CLT and PIT base mtc and add PHX to the mix.

No, you show us where it states that ALL the AIRBUS work in be brought back in house. PIT base maint is protected, what about PIT line maint??? I don't see it. But once you were on the N/C, so maybe you can explain what will happen when PIT line closes. Let the bumping begin. Job protection, not with this B/S T/A.

Only the top seven lines stations are protected, that is the way it is in the current CBA, PIT line was removed as it is a regular station, they have all ready reduced the headcount on the line as it is no longer a hub nor a focus city.

I poised the question to you, show me where it states the buses are all going out the door or 50%.

Right now ALL the HP planes are outsourced, every single one, on the east side all the airbus are done in-house, all the 757s, 767s and A330s are all outsourced and 50% of the 737s.

Do the math and read the language.

The is more work gained by the new language and furlough protections for base mtc and payouts to the M&R group if the billable hours excede 50% of the hours done in-house, it is not simply farm a plane out and keep one in, it is based on billable hours.

Well….. I will be on my way to the polls in a few hours. If you have ant question on how I’m voting, it will beNO NO NO

Current CBA we do all small bus work. HP outsoures. 737 are being phased out, we are getting more small buses. Why not try to keep all bus work in house??? How many M&R are in HVY right now, and what will the company cut back to? Is this the only reason I'm voting no, as I've stated before, the pension plan sucks, a week of vacation after 25 yrs sucks. Since 1992, I'm tired of my union wanting me to be pleased with give-back contracts. 2 hrs until I vote NO.

Less than the 675 protected headcount at the moment, the 675 would be protected and a no furlough for base if the TA is ratified.

Keep avoiding what I have asked, this brings more wok in-house, just do the math.

You said before, no outsourcing. Now you say outsourcing is ok. I repair the crap that comes back from Ala. It seems that this is all you care to remark on. Nothing on the other items I have refered to.

Please name me one airline that does no outsourcing of anything?

It is baby steps, you cant get everything back in one round of talks, it takes years to gain everything back that was lost in bankruptcy, look at the IBT at HP, CO and WN (now amfa), no union in the airlines is safe from outsourcing anymore.

we saw just how powerful the group was a couple of months ago when there was a work safe program....it will pass by a good margine.

You are correct. Maybe if the N/C's pay was based on the memberships pay we wouldn't be in this mess. Happy dogs don't fight.
