ORIOLEMAN <_<

Can't say that I'm up on the 30 and out with IAMNPF. Lost my 85 point plan last time in court, early out is gone. So lets say you go to FEDX. Pay and benefits way better. As far as I was told you have to ASK if you can collect your retirement. And that some people that were collecting had to pay it back. So if you guys were vested. And had your 30 years / points ? You have to ask. That S#X! That is a bad point of the IAMNPF. But so is the 401k. If you don't roll it over the tax man is on your butt.
PHX had the IAMNPF rep breif us this past week. My understanding is that if you are M&R, retired and collecting the IAMNPF pension then you can't work in the M&R field and continue to collect your pension. She stated that it was a "RETIREMENT" pension and they pretty much expect you to be retired. If you retire with 30 years within the NPF you can collect a reduced amount (a percentage for every year that you are under age 62 or 65 (I'm sorry I didn't pay much attention after I found out that if I retire next year, I'll collect $58 @ month).

IMO, the younger guys are NOT going to calculate squat! They hear pay raise and they are ready to vote YES.

GSE, Tool Crib and Interior will fall under the M&R class and craft. They will see a large pay increase, but will have to shell out $$$$$ that they didn't have to in the past. I have no problem with anyone having their pay increased. I do have a problem with non-licensed people getting paid at the same rate without having to shoulder the same responsibility. My A & P is on the line everytime I sign for the work I have accomplished.

I do feel that the negotiating team sold us out, but then I wasn't there either. I do feel the IAM sold us out by agreeing in principle to this agreement. This T/A does not benefit the majority of the people it is intended to protect in the first place.
I am voting NO!

This is not any good for any of us - I will vote NO and will tell all I come in contact with to do the same and why if they will listen. There is no pay raise, at best you are turning your benefits into cash. This is Dougie's "0" Cost Contract no matter how it is presented. It was NO in 03 and still is with me.

ALL RIGHT! What a MESS and LACK of unity are we at!

AS a member of Fleet for 13 years and reading the TA results for MA: Guess what! The company is selling both MA and Fleet to the lowest bidder!

Fleet contract under TWU had protections (SECTION SIX!) and COC THis gives us the upper hand to negotiate. The Bastards of the NMB that HATE all unions under this administation until new results are not giving us anything but a swim in the pool and weekend vote on a TA (including giving up CIC and PROFIT SHARING). This will give the new and young and (youth) mechanics a proposal. It might give 33% in profits and benefits--- BUT! lacks! AND takes away the initial US AIRWAYS OLD PLAN under the initial union. IAM is changing! After being in control over TEN or LONGER YEARS it is giving away everything to STAY ALIVE! as a union.

The result will be a pension that is less than 401,K where we can control RESULTS in our investments. ( A 401.K gives the member the right to control the investments and then change them.) Pention dictates a set amount!.

And we pay union dues. Either a one hour or what ever the IAM decides, (dues) WHO THE HE## IS THE UNION THESE DAYS! Don't depend on friends. Your money is washed away!

Now! RELAX and realize Fleet and Mechanics can control the next merger by letting it SLIDE and wait till 2009 and get their REWARDS! (IF YOU WANT TO REALLY BE AN AIRLINE PARTICIPANT and want to be here after 2009, then wait till 2009 when the COC KICKS IN!
DO NOT VOTE FOR ANYTHING LESS. If you are not dedicated to the airline GET OUT NOW!

This TA vote is about M&R front line workers vs self serving backstabbers. Vote NO. We have been thru many painful events these past years and are now being shown total disrespect. We were forced to make sacrifices for survival and this is the payback? The sky is not falling so don't panic, sellout, or be a sucker for the first offer. Vote NO. Don't allow the IAM to steal 5% of our 401k and make US/HP sweat out the poison that has infected their brain(sand castle disease). Vote NO. Time is on our side. Much has been posted the past several weeks perhaps a review is in order. Click on member name ex skinvalve, then click on view member profile, then click on options, and then click on find members posts. Read and heed but beware the man behind the curtain is an IAM rep. Vote NO stop the downward spiral of the AMT profession in the airline industry.

Disrespect? I don't know why, just because we voted away most of our "best in the industry contract." When 90% sit around and b!tch about how bad we have it, but only 10% will hang their a$$ out. I can't see why we would have RESPECT. This BS T/A should not even be considered. I can't believe people would vote to give up 50% of OUR small BUS work, vote away our 401k for a junk pension. Once again, there will be those that only thing of themselves and vote yes. Let's get our respect back, VOTE NO. Send this to section 6 and hope that we will have a N/C with a little FIGHT in them.

Vote early; Vote often; Vote NO.

A long time ago I was told " a loaf of bread costs the same whether you're a Cleaner or an Inspector.." and I agreed. Well the same addage applies from Utility to AGC to GVP to GLP. The same retirement plan with the same renumeration and the same medical benefit should be applied to all. If not, then they are as, or more, guilty of excess than the very 'Captains of Industry' they pretend to fight.

Any bets this TA passes? Not all the declared no votes in the world will keep it from not passing. Anyone know anyone that voted yes on the last 2 or 3 CBA's? Case closed

Not even those who sat across from the table thought it was not worthy of a yes....but it passed. Sorry, the judge made them do it  . It was ratified, but still there was no choice.

any truth that the Company has already terminated it's uniform cleaning contract with outside vendors starting May 1.

guess the Company is expecting a YES vote on this T/A

For a skilled labor group you are all goofy if you vote yes...they are snow balling you all and you will be complaining all the way up to 2012 and tack a few more years on for a new cba. Show them what you are worth and don't settle for less.
That TA is pitiful.

It will pass, a lot of people are really scared about the economy and figure they will take a litte bit of raise now! <_<
