CLT

Nice, SLIGHT, show of support.  That picture must be from a couple of months ago because the feeling I get from the guys on the floor is, sadly, no support.

At least from those I talked to in CLT and PHL.  Here in PIT, there is free flowing overtime, no delays, and the planes make it across the tracks just about on time.

We are divided.  We are scared.  We haven't heard one word from the union.  In fact, out of 3 hangers and the line, that flier was posted in only one place.

Our leadership better start now to engage our membership and give us some direction, or I see disaster in our future.

Too much going on. IAM/TWU alliance in the works and I think that both unions do not know what is going to happen with the alliance. They have no idea how it is going to end up if it comes to that point. There is something going on between the IAM and the company that they are not talking about. Again members left in the dark. This alliance is not going to work without a plan and both sides at peace. We on the TWU side have been waiting to see what they plan on doing with this alliance. I think it is in limbo until a change of union representation arises again. This is the only way the TWU and IAM seem to get moving. Threaten the $ cash $ cow and they react.

My brother is a mech and he gets virtually NO communication from his union. I told him about the flyer 'cause I saw it here.
Hard to have support when everyone is in the dark. In this digital age, you'd think texts, tweets, facebook, and 'ancient' email would prevail over smoke signals and shop rumors.
Cheers.

AND You still want to keep the IAM

Time for the mechanics at US to join the AA guys in removing the industrial joke unions from our class and craft.

Sign an AMFA card Now and remove the IAM/TWU.

I have not seen any AMFA activity in Tulsa and have not received any E-Mails about a drive. I believe the vast majority of the 26% are still with the company.

Why would you if your on the USAir board?

Too be fair lets get an opinion on the IAM represented AMT's and the TWU represented AMT's past and present.

I can tell you, all the NW mechanics that have been hired here at SWA, that came from NW during the strike with AMFA, all say they would vote for AMFA over any of the industrial unions out there. But pls don't take my word for it and put the poll out there...

Read the update from the IAM dated Feb 7th, stated they would be around in the coming days/weeks to explain to the membership.......no sign of AGC or anyone else for that matter as of yet.....????  During the so called raid by the IBT they were there daily, guess we are not that important anymore....

Be careful what you wish for. the poll will not include about 98% of the membership. only the few who read here.

Ok then, I shall rephrase;  The mechs I have spoken with at SWA that have come from NW, have said they would vote for AMFA.  You are correct, that the majority of the mechs from NW are not here at SWA, and I did not want to indicate that.
