As I read this all I can see is the IAM is scared that they will lose there last foot hold in an commuter airline.

You need to get off your A$$ and try and get a hold of your members who's jobs you let go and beg them to help you try and keep what you lose for them. If you don't I see them telling you all to kiss there butts and they will VOTE IBT

GET OUT OF THE QUICK SAND AND VOTE IBT

no dude ,they're telling you that just like the last two times your union pulled this crap, its highly likely decert will result...thats all.

NO They are saying that THERE MEMBERS don't care.

What kind of BS is "The Teamsters know they cannot win an election, but their real objective is to decertify the Machinist Union" Why would any UNION try and lose there members and others???? That is such BS but that is the IAM.

Dell their accusation goes much deeper than that. They are accusing the IBT of purposely calling for a vote with the only intention of decertifying the mechanics and related.

Gee a non-union, anti-union, union-hater is now an expert on unions when he is not even a member of one.

From IAM letter: Teamsters Campaign Against US Airways Workers

The Machinists contract will require the recall of hundreds of workers when the workforces merge-the Teamsters contract can't. The teamsters can't give you anything, so they have anti-union organizers actively working to decertify the IAM.

We have heard poeple on this board say that the IAM contract is the one that will survie. So if this is true then the statement above would be false. That means even with the Teamsters voted in hundreds will be recalled.

So what is it?

One of them is IAM propaganda.

What are these anti-union organizers?

Hundreds of Recalls??? Where?? Are the Outsourced stations coming back to the IAM Members???

Are they getting rid of the contract language that pushes those recalled to the starting rate of pay???

If this isn't the biggest bunch of BS propaganda, I don't know what is. They couldn't keep everyone employed before, why can they now get them back to work???

Wings you are confused.

The IAM is talking about Mechanic and Related, that is who the ibt are asking for a vote, not ramp as the ramp at HP is twu.

When the IAM CBA takes over the HP A320 family and 50% of their 737s must be overhauled in-house and not outsourced like they are now.

And you only return to starting rate of pay under the M&R CBA if you are furloughed for over five years.

And the company and the IAM maintain that the IAM contract is the surviving contract -- SO the amount of work that comes back in house is a constant reguardless who is representitive of the group. The amount of work that returns is the same with Teamsters and with the IAM. So get rid of the IAM and still have the work return along with the jobs.
