I wish to add UNGRATEFUL (since that is what Easties supposedly are. Especially now that our saviors have provided us with profit sharing which they've never heard of before. But anyway, it fell out of the sky, and is being graciously handed to us).
 
Well like it or not there will be changes in procedures for both East and West FAs. Change is usually not accepted with open arms but there are reasons for why things will be changed.

At first when we did the Door arming procedures on the West we thought it was a joke having to talk out loud.."Preparing to disarm door, Then hear Verfied! then we disarm the door...then go to 1L and continue the same.

Well have to admit, it becomes common nature now that we do this procedure and guess what we have very few slide deployments now. This is not only a Safety issue of the possibility of someone being injured with blowing a slide, but also a very costly incident if one slide blows.

So just get used to this, as this will be the Door procedures for both East and West.


In regards to going past overwing, yes we have had FAs been suspended and written up. The one was written up by a Non rev, so you never know who is out there in the cabin watching your every move.

So a suggestion for those on the East, as well as the West, we know this integration will be affecting all of us with new policies and procedures...just take the time to learn these new procedures and continue providing the great service to our passengers. You have to remember that we are ALL lucky to still have this job. It could be worse...you could be learning how to flip burgers and when to drop the next batch of fries to go with that shake!

So NOT walking 2 rows past the overwing to pickup a PAX trash is the West's idea of customer service? I love this job and am glad to have it but I assure you I WOULD NOT BE FLIPPING BURGERS if I did not have it!!! Most of us would not!

Maybe that is what it will take to OPEN your eyes that this is a NEW company and not the OLD US Airways that made it thru not 1, but 2 BKs!

To quote SegmentKing.."Disservicing our customers one policy at a time!" All they see is someone not willing to help them! Period. I WILL not refuse to walk past that Row when a customer needs me to...PERIOD! That is a stupid policy and it needs to be changed. We have never done it that way on the East and things have been just fine! I'm all for policies...but they should make sense and not be needless!

Not the issue! If you are within 2 rows of me and I have taken the time to collect the trash you WILL take it from me or I will never lift a finger to take the US Today out of my seat back pocket as long as you or any other F/A have a hole in your arse.
