BOS Pilots,

There are some who say..."If only we were unified..." Well, we are unified, and have been for a long time now. The MEC, the Merger Committee, and this pilot group has insisted on a DOH based seniority integration from day one, and there has been absolutely no wavering from that position. And today, this MEC, this Merger Committee, and this pilot group is similarly unified in our complete repudiation of the arbitrator's award. "

So as you can see from a east rep, it was DOH and nothing else, period. No negotiations, nothing. Staple every awa fo and most captains to the bottom period. They are so hell bent on DOH that they simply won't accept any other outcome, screw alpa merger policy, arbitration or whatever else gets in their way. Now you see here by their own reps words how this process went down.

If you are looking for an accurate statement to make your case or hang your hat on, you will not find it in this message you quoted. It is designed to rally the troups...nothing more.

To tell you the truth my case was made long before today, however I would like to read the entire update. BTW I did not write the bottom portion of that post, I copied it word for word nothing added or subtracted.

Negative rate gear down ;)

In his May 19 update to his Council the BOS F/O Rep. said, (in response the the AWA MEC letter to all pilots dated May 17), "Gents, get ready to decertify."

My my you're an angry one. You didn't get stapled, I did. So why all the huff and puff?

Anyone, the east pilots included, would readily fight for what they have earned.

I can't imagine what an embarrassment you must be to your peers at this point.

I see that you can finally fullfill your destiny and finish what your started back in 1985 when you secretly trained to be a "replacement pilot" at UAL.

I see your integrity is lacking unless you get your way. I wonder if your were ever asked to strike when it wasn't for your personal benefit, would you gleefully sprint to the cockpit? Disgusting

Anyone, the east pilots included, would readily fight for what they have earned.

Please explain just what it is that you think you've "earned"? Have you earned the right to displace someone? What gives you that "right" The fact that you picked the wrong airline? What about a retired Air Force Pilot? Has he "earned" more than the min hour scooter jockey in the newhire class ahead of him? You "earned" you last paycheck, nothing more, nothing less. Breathing and converting raman noodles to crap from more years than someone else earned you nothing.

AWA320...you're an idiot.

AWA320...you're an idiot.

Name calling has nothing to do with it. Just a decision based upon your comments. No, I'm not a line crosser. Not that I'm thrilled with ALPA. I'm a guy whom has worked hard at this profession. I have a great deal of tenor at AAA, and I have always been a good employee. That withstanding I have also taken everything this industry can throw at a man in fairly good grace.

I worked those years, I survived two furloughs, many displacements, b-scale, metrojet, loss of pension, long term junior reserve, on and on. It is foolish of you to advance that those years don't count for something when both parties work for the same company. I wish no ill will towards the Pilots of AWA, nor do I wish to take anything from them. Which is exactly why I do not except the Nicolau award.

Tell me, in all of your foolish luster; would you except being put in a place where after 18 tough years of being furloughed ahead of a person in their early 20s with 2 years of longevity? Wait a minute, don't bother answering that one, I already know that you possess the mental agility of a small soap dish.

Well right up until your last three words I had a lot of respect for what you wrote. The Award in my "soap dish" mentality feels that you got more than you should!! Here's why, AAA was a failure not doubt about that. Employees furloughed and pilots with 18yrs of seniority on the streets with no hope of ever returning to that carrier. Now after the merger people like yourself are being called back to a carrier that is now moving in the right direction as a result of AWA.

Relative seniority? A jr capt with 22yrs longevity is at the bottom of the capt list right along with an AWA jr capt. You propose now moving the AWA jr capt to the right seat because you feel that you are owed something. Well you may be but not at the expense of the AWA pilots. I think you and all of your colleagues should be paid like you have 18, 19, 20 years of longevity but do I think you belong at the top of the list while stapleing us?? Hell no!! We were working while you were watching! We were hiring while AAA was furloughing, we were taking delivery of A320's while AAA was retuning them for RJ's.

Entitlement!! That's the real problem now isn't it.

Again, I don't recall call you names but you have done it twice now...

I was working for this airline while most of you were going thru puberty. So you categorize that as a non-event while the years (useful towards your argument) are selectively put into play. Sound even handed?

Look, I was furloughed by no fault of my own. And yes, I work for a company that is very volatile during hard economic times (something about the North East market you will soon come to learn). But all the while, I have been a Pilot, an ALPA Pilot. No sense of entitlement. Just demanding what I have earned. Can you seriously look to the bottom of your list (and I say this realizing that they are most likely fine aviators as well) and say that yes, they should enjoy seniority above 18 year Pilots at AAA? That in fact, their two years buys them the right to step over us? Come on.

I hope that you realize that the words I used to reflect how you sound to me make sense.

Got Marshmallows?

Mr. Furlough,
The day you returned from furlough, were you on the bottom of the USAir seniority list?
