What a mess in Charlotte tonight. Looks like the meltdown has begun, The ramp was very short staffed with many sick calls & folks are refusing to accept over time.
Wonder why ? As a result of short staff & delays due to weather hundreds & hundreds of bags on hand or so they are saying. Flights taking delays on gate due to not enough help. And Christmas day is not even here yet ! People looks like meltdown is here.

Oh no. It's the end! Armageddon! All that drama for a little rain?? I knew CLT would ruin everything... ;)

Flew thru PHL today, twice. Smooth as silk. Go get 'em, PHL. ;)

WOW! Cmon! Can you make it a bit more dramatic? PHL was smooth tonight with the fog and rain! Spare us the drama.

No way a meltdown, I bet there was a Nascar race on TV last night...that usually stops everything in CLT! :p
 
Races are on Sunday and/or Saturday night. I am sure that was a slight aimed at Southerners?

A common misconception. USAirways pulled back from BWI in anticipation of DOJ objections to the virtual lock that a combined USAirways/United had on the three Washington area airports. United wanted to keep Dulles, and National was a more lucrative market (along with very valuable slots) for USAirways to hang on to during Wolf's failed attempt to sell the airline to United. It was clear there were antitrust issues, and the Washington airports was one of the biggest. Walking away from BWI was the only real solution to that particular antitrust issue. Of course, we all know it was futile.

But SWA didn't chase anyone out of BWI.
