Several employees have informed me that Sat. night was another royal screw up in Charlotte with missed baggage. Understand on the last bank of flights alone hundreds & hundreds og bags missed due to way to many island flights scheduled to connect to last bank of flights. Lack of staffing. Bag belt broke due to more bags than can be handled. Whomever is responsible for this needs to be shown the door. Again HUNDREDS of bags were missed last bank alone.
Guess the news needs to be there next Sat. night !

In addition to lack of staffing is the departure times for the connecting flights. For whatever reason Flights depart around 2130- 2150 on sat nites. There is no reason for the connecting time to be so tight on sat nite, while on other nites the last bank departs around 2300.
Like other problems   I doubt this issue will be addressed!!!!!!!

This whole mess was worse than the Sat 2 weeks ago that was suppose to be corrected.
What someone does NOT get you can NOT schedule this many intl flights where all these bags come to a bagroom that is to small and is understaffed. It may work on your chart but it does NOT work in the real world with out great loss. These psgrs deserve their bags. I'm sure most will not fly US again.

The expense of delayed baggage and customer relation payments for ammenities is much more managable now. Our paycuts and benefits reductions make this part of the cost of doing business now. If it was a problem, Im sure Al Crellin would have it corrected. Not to worry, our crack management team in CCY has everything under control...... 🙂

I told my coworkers several months ago that our leaders were bringing the magic used at PHL to CLT. Slowly. Bit by bit. For those who care it is hard to swallow but we need to realize this is part of the transformation plan and the way of the future. It can not and will not be changed. The focus is on kiosk use and on time departures.

You are right. It is difficult for the many great people who really care and try to give the best possible service. But this is not the idea now. It is truly a Bus System in the sky, mass transit. Herd em up and move em on. I understand the company is trying to get approval from the govt to accept Food Stamps now for purchases onboard!

They turned the company down but offered surplus cheese and butter.

Another sat nite, same story overwhelmed with bags during the last push of the evening. It seems management is too busy is opening and closing FLL as a mini hub to be concerned with implementing a sensible schedule to make baggage conx. Like I said before I see no effort to correct this problem.

Haven't you guys figured it out yet? Nobody in UAIR management has even the slightest clue how to run an airline. They think that they can get by just cutting costs. Unfortunately, UAIR will be THE textbook case of how stupid that concept is!

New skd change two weeks ago with a new bid. Sat night they adjusted the counter supv to be off at 8pm. They kept the agents until 845pm. The counter closes at 730pm!
Ramp- evening lead works 530pm-2am. Part timers work 930pm-2am. They adjusted the earlier shift forward. Last flight in at 11pm. They didnt adjust the late night people and covered the 3 hour gap created with OVERTIME while these guys now sit from 11pm-2am waiting to get off.
Not a clue how to schedule.
